Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

An almost top 10,000 blog!

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

Let me eat cake. The rest of you could stand to lose some weight, frankly.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

Let there be snark.

Republican obstruction dressed up as bipartisanship. Again.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

Nothing worth doing is easy.

Despite his magical powers, I don’t think Trump is thinking this through, to be honest.

Not all heroes wear capes.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Optimism opens the door to great things.

I’d try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

I’d hate to be the candidate who lost to this guy.

The poor and middle-class pay taxes, the rich pay accountants, the wealthy pay politicians.

You can’t love your country only when you win.

This blog will pay for itself.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

I’ve spoken to my cat about this, but it doesn’t seem to do any good.

Wow, you are pre-disappointed. How surprising.

This fight is for everything.

Thanks to your bullshit, we are now under siege.

The GOP couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

This Was Brutal

This post is in: Election 2008, General Stupidity

FacebookTweetEmail

Since Comcast sent MSNBC into purgatory, I have not watched much of it (I will when I get another cable box, I suppose), but good grief this David Shuster interview with the idiots at PumaPac was just brutal. He just shredded them and made them look like fools (admittedly, an easy job):

I predict that will be their last media appearance for a while.

BTW, by way of comparison, they admit to having raised 50,000. Their entire shitty little misguided NATIONAL effort is barely outraising the efforts of you all on this website:

demkat, if your 2nd post means that the blockquote wasn’t intentional, then that’s got to be the best accidental blockquote, ever.

I love how Murphy’s associates in the con on her blog keep saying how many “new members” the Hardball interview has brought in – and yet, the same old, same old folks are blogging, not one newcomer saying, “Hi, I saw you guys on Hardball!” Not one.

I mean, if you’re going to lie about increased blog traffic, you’ve just got to create sockpuppets to back up your story. I’m not even a con artist, and I’m a better con artist than they are.

Shuster and Maddow need their own shows. That was absolutely hysterical.

I find it also amusing that these are probably the same people that were apoplectic about Shuster making his “pimp” comment, yet they show up on Hardball to…well…pimp themselves. Wonder how they will like McCain’s new tax increase on the lower/middle class?

David kicked their asses and then handed them back to them. I wish there was more of this in the ‘news’. I get so sick and tired of idiots going on the ‘news’ and lying their asses off and the press letting them do it. It is about time people started getting called out on their bullshit, and I hope to see more of it in the ‘news’.

PUMA is nothing more than racists and ratfuckers, with a few Clinton die-hards tossed in. They are not voting for McCain, they are voting against Obama. That is why these two looked like deer in headlights when asked about their support of McCain and his positions. That was the wrong question and you could see that their minds were not ready to respond. The better question would have been to ask them why they are voting against Obama. Then they would have been ready to unload!

As it was, the whole thing was a pitiful display of their ‘support’ for Hillary. No, they are using Hillary as an excuse to cover their racist asses.

You just know those 2 post on TalkLeft and TaylorMarsh.

What cracks me up is Bower’s claim that the entire election was rigged by the DNC and that the voice of the Democrats was not heard. Apparently the people that voted for Obama don’t actually count because Bower can come up with some creative math to show how Hillary somehow has more votes than Obama.

The woman was just plain looney tunes. She donated to McCain in 2000 yet we are supposed to believe that she is an above board person. Yeah, ok.

So the entire primary boils down to 4 friggin delegates out 4000+? If Hillary was given those delegates she would have somehow won? What planet are these people from?

Wasn’t Bower the idiot that sued the DNC over Florida’s supers not being seated?

This is why I like David Schuster. He’s arguably a much better interviewer than Keith Olbermann, and definitely better than that loud-mouth Chris Matthews. These people got exactly what they deserved.

I especially loved that lying bitch’s response to Schuster’s abortion comment. “Yeah, McCain supports restricting abortion rights DIRECTLY, but I’m still going to vote against him because, well, Obama just seems vague to me (even though every fucking democratic nominee in decades has supported abortion rights, including Obama), and he’s in Hawaii”. I also like how BOTH of them were evasive when Schuster pointed out that they were both trying to dispute a process ALL nominees agreed upon at the beginning, and that they were going against the popular will of Democratic voters for their narrow-as-fuck interests.

Fuck them both. I honestly wish that this expose on how pathetically weak PUMA actually is would encourage Obama just to tell them to fuck off. Frankly, one of the problems with the Democrat Party is that we are too accommodationistic to every little mouth push-group, ever since we lost our nerve for opposing such groups after the 1968 Convention riot. You don’t see the Republicans who lost (namely, Giuliani, Romney, and Huckabee) bitching about how their votes “aren’t being heard”, even though they arguably have more to complain about seeing as it was that division among them that split the conservatives enough for McCain to secure strong frontrunner status.

No open thread, so I will go off topic for this post.

I just heard on Washington Journal (C-SPAN) that the Bush administration is pushing through justice ‘reforms’ that will include easing rules so that local and state police agencies can spy on American citizens and keep the ‘intelligence’ they gather for up to 10 years. They say it is a last minute move in the ‘waning months’ of the administration to lock in the post 9-11 changes in law that have led to the largest post-Watergate increase in executive authority, and this move is to lock the changes in place before Bush leaves office.

In other words, he wants his illegal actions validated for the historical record. At our expense and the expense of our nation.

    This. Is. Bullshit.

    Slightly, but not much, OT:

A colleague’s daughter came bouncing into the office yesterday. She had finished her freshman year at Harding, a Xtian college, and had interned in Congress for the summer. Her news? She was skipping fall semester for a job with the Obama campaign. Her mission with the campaign? Christian outreach, because “Obama is obviously the candidate with true Christian values”. This sort of lines up with Rick Warren’s opinion that Xtian’s need to get over themselves and look beyond the hot-button issues of abortion and gay rights.

If this is a serious trend, Wrinkly White-Haired Guy is toast.

Here’s the WaPo article with details. My only thought is that this smells a lot like the Fifties when big-city police departments spent valuable manhours sniffing around Quakers, peaceniks and various other suspected Comsymps. Everything old is new again, particularly when the Republican candidate is older than than most rocks – and nearly as smart.

Chimpy’s preacher (who also presided at Jenna’s wedding) is endorsing Obama. The Matthew 25 network is working to bring Christians to Obama. It seems that Maverick McGoo is a little soiled in the marital department, and his suggesting Cindy flash her tits in Sturgis did not go over very well with religious people either. Chimpy’s preacher had a few choice words about that.

Odd, but this year the Democrats have the religion angle in hand and the Repubs are out in the cold. The same goes for many other aspects of life and politics that normally favor the right, they are non-existent this year. If this holds out, you can bet that the right will go nuclear this fall. They will have nothing to lose, and the racist loonies are going to come out of the woodwork once it is clear that Obama is going to win this.

After he wins, you can bet the shit will really hit the fan on the right. Honestly, I expect some violence. There are some pretty damn sick right wing extremists, and an AA president will push some of them right over the edge. I hope I am wrong, but I doubt it. There is some pretty nasty animosity in this country, and there is almost always some nut who wants to go down in flames.

Thanks Dennis. I saw him reading it from a paper, but I did not catch which one it was. This is something that people need to hear about, and the same goes for our politicians. Any fucker that votes for this crap will never get a vote from me again. Never.

Land of the free, and home of the brave? Don’t make me laugh. We have become a bunch of chicken shits who are willing to give our rights up just to think we will be safe and secure. Of course, after all of our rights are gone the politicians will tell us that it is impossible to stop all terrorist attacks. But hey! They are trying!

Ben Franklin was right, those who are willing to give up freedom for security will have neither. Unfortunately, if Ben were alive today the right would just call him a librul and dismiss him out of hand.

This country is full of fucking stupid, chickenshit people. Sorry, but facts are facts.

I don’t know about you, but on 9-11 I was pissed. I was not afraid in the least, but all I heard on the news was that everyone else was. It never entered my mind until I heard it on TV. I was pissed, and I am still pissed. And the more I watch our politicians fuck everything up, I get even more pissed. Our so-called leaders are abject failures, and in being failures they are turning our country into one large, massive FAIL.

I am not afraid of a terrorist attack, and I never will be. I expect my government to go after terrorists, but they have shown that they are incapable of doing even that.

So they now want to spy on everyone. What a solution! Not.

So they now want to spy on everyone. What a solution! Not.

The result of police spying in the Fifties was exactly dick. They gathered reams of notes without ever uncovering any plots or preventing any crimes. What you had was a bunch of self-important cops patting themselves on the back for infiltrating groups exercising their rights as Americans. The most laughable part of this new exercise is that the cops don’t look anything like the people who might actually pose a threat nor do they speak the language – just like most of the FBI, NSA and the rest of the acronymic government agencies that are “protecting” us.

I’m guessing it means “my candidate didn’t win, wah wah wah”. I think Shuster could’ve hammered them a bit more on that point, though he was good about pointing out that their numbers are fictional and that all candidates agreed to the rules up-front. Hard to argue with someone who’s completely deluded about vote totals and processes. It’s fun to mock them and watch them get their asses handed to them, but really, they should be ignored.
