No, Lanny Davis is terrific. He’s just so useful. Consider:
At least since the primaries, he only works for the most venal, the most corrupt, the most evil. After all, people seeking help to promote more worthy causes can find spokespeople who are less repugnant but have higher standards, and of course concomitant with their promoting more worthy causes they are likely to themselves have standards too high to hire Lanny Davis. So, whenever Lanny Davis pops up, you are saved any effort of finding out the merits of the question, as you know that the side employing Lanny must be wrong.
And, of course, you are saved any worry that Lanny’s arguments might carry the day, because he’s so remarkably ineffective as an advocate.
Basically, Lanny Davis is the FSM’s way of taking money from evil people and bestowing failure on them in return.
