Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

Optimism opens the door to great things.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

75% of people clapping liked the show!

People are weird.

This country desperately needs a functioning fourth estate.

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

If ‘weird’ was the finish line, they ran through the tape and kept running.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

Dear media: perhaps we ought to let Donald Trump speak for himself!

A norm that restrains only one side really is not a norm – it is a trap.

There are times when telling just part of the truth is effectively a lie.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Second rate reporter says what?

“When somebody takes the time to draw up a playbook, they’re gonna use it.”

You come for women, you’re gonna get your ass kicked.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

It’s easy to sit in safety and prescribe what other people should be doing.

If America since Jan 2025 hasn’t broken your heart, you haven’t loved her enough.

If rights aren’t universal, they are privilege, not rights.

I’m starting to think Jesus may have made a mistake saving people with no questions asked.

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

Just a reminder, tomorrow is the selection day for the final four for the Cutest Dog, and we are all still pulling for Little Bitsy:

A special thanks to those of you who privately sent checks to Evelyn to help with dog rescue efforts.

Annie wants you to know, John Cole, that Evelyn Bridges rescues cats too! Lots of cats!

But thanks for the thread anyway.
    You rock.

Also, tomorrow we’re gonna find out who wins Oprah’s karaoke contest, I think. Although I’ll probably miss it because I’ll be at the dump all afternoon.

Someone could have warned me off of Hardball this evening. Tweety really lets his freak flag fly when the topic is abortion. What a moran.

I must have found something fulfilling to fill the gap of voting for Bitsy. That first week was rough, but now I’m okay.

    Give me a B!
    Give me an I!

Yay Bitsy! Whenever I start typing an “L” in my address bar, the auto-complete keeps bringing up the Vote for Bitsy page, so I’ve been on tenterhooks about this.

All you crazy food posters in teh OT yesterday inspired me to go to the farmer’s market today with my remaining small change and buy some APPLES!! Farmstand folk were so smart; they cut up a bunch of varieties and laid out some toothpicks so you could try before buy. Thanks to the recommendations I tried the Pink Ladies and they were DELICIOUS (which is to say, much more yummy than Deliciouses are). I too had not bought apples in years because of the cardboardness of the supermarket kind, so thanks!!

You know what I loved the most about the whole “Vote Bitsy” campaign?

The sheer number of people who would write things like “I don’t have any idea what the fuck you people are talking about, but since it seems so important to you, I guess I’ll go vote Bitsy…”.

We are such a community of curmudgeons, but a community we are!

Cheering and praying for Little Bitsy . All dogs are cute but Little Bitsy stands for more than that and I was honored to vote for her in the last couple of days of the contest. I regret that I did not do it all along because of my fear of spam (and I have gotten no spam). Yay, Little Bitsy.

Thanks to all you Juicers for your support of Little Bitsy! We are hoping for good news tomorrow that she’ll be in the final 4. We couldn’t have gotten in the top 12 without all your votes – so thank you, thank you!!

Yay Little Bitsy! I’ve been eagerly awaiting the day. I really hope she’s a Top Four finalist. She so deserves it and can help so many other animals in need. It’s been an honor to support her, Sylvia and Evelyn.

    Go Bitsy!

I hope Bitsy makes the final four.

I will deny it in court later, but when I was a very small boy my nickname was Bitsy. (WTF?! Still haven’t asked my parents about that.)

We are two cats who live at Zoolatry. We do not like dogs very much, any dog. And we have learned (the hard way), that dogs do not like us.
Just the same, we have voted day in and out, week in and out for Little Bitsy.
She is one cute dog. We hope she makes “the final four” today because she deserves to be there. And we say thanks with appurrciation to everyone who has voted for her
(and thanks to Evelyn who started all this, to Laura and John who supported it all the way along).

    @Zoolatry:

Thank you for your ecumenical broadmindedness. You are an example to us all.
