It’s, uh, kind of a big deal. So it’s understandable that it’s an overwhelming topic.

    Heh — Mommy only had a little hangover, so it’s not too bad. And Sam must have known I’d need to sleep in, because while he normally sleeps in until about 7am, today he didn’t get up until almost 9am.

    Samkitteh is gawgeous in his fury/disappointment. One of the best things he’s got going for him is his mommy and her great sense of humor. It will go a long way in raising a rational humabean :-)

    Okay, this seems like the proper place to mention this. A good bud in Wyoming who’s been missing for about eight months or so just e-mailed me this morning. That was a good joy in and of itself until I saw the pictures he had included. He just had a new baby boy! Since he’s a pretty happy gay cowboy I had to get over my initial shock (oh who am I kidding, it’s still stunning the shit out of me!) but I’m really happy for him.

    I usually call it a “suce”, which is French for “suck” — that’s just the terminology I grew up with. If I’m not around family, though, I call it a pacifier, because otherwise nobody would know what the hell I’m talking about.
