Wouldnt it be nice if she went back to this look? I mean she is cute already IMO, but…..wow…..

@ABS: IMO, she looks much cuter now.
And my tolerance for precious folk music could be measured in Angstroms.

From Thinkprogress:
“The Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals yesterday “turned down the Obama administration’s effort to enforce a six-month moratorium on deepwater drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.” A three judge panel — a majority of whom have attended oil-funded junkets — ruled shortly after a hearing in a lawsuit filed by companies that claim they are being financially crippled by the suspension of drilling” after BP’s oil spill.”
I heard this discussed on the radio and the moratorium is still effectively on – they are not re-starting drill rigs.
So this will be the worst of both worlds (primarily for the drillers): no pressure on the government to come up with new regs in 6 months, but no drill rigs actually working, so they cannot hit up BP for lost work expenses – as they could much more easily if the moratorium were in place.
Plus, having government bureaucrats mad at you for beating them in court is a tactical victory that is strategic disaster.
Overall, an own goal for the oil services companies.

Oh, God, no. My lady opinion is that she’s WAY cuter as a butchy brunette (not as butchy as my unprecedented girl-crush JD Samson, but still butchy and still cute.)
Rachel is going with her strengths, and forcing herself into the longhaired blond look didn’t do her any favours. I’m glad she changed her look.
Disclaimer: women get to choose how to present themselves. Just because I like Rachel’s current look doesn’t mean I would have criticized her for the blond look at that time, and I would have taken apart anyone in high school who would have picked on her.

Am I the only person having problems with the width of the videos destroying the margins here making the site hard to read?
If so, please disregard.

Here’s an idea that merits shameless copying.

Uh-oh. The warm fuzzy population of the household is down to one (my Maine coon cat) after the death in April of my beloved elderly white cat, and just yesterday I was saying to someone that traveling, packing, and moving is easier (yes, everything is relative) with only one cat to wrangle. I also mentioned that the fisher cats and coyotes in the neighborhood seemed to mean that there’d be no more stray cats to fill the void. Then this morning I look out to see an absolutely filthy, ratty, thin sorta white cat in the yard. He has a collar but took off in terror when I spoke to him. I’m just about to leave to take a load of furniture to Maine and won’t be back until late tomorrow. It will be interesting to see whether he’s still around and seems abandoned then. I’m channeling J.C.

Sadly you cannot buy portable versions of the stuff on Southern Souls. An interesting site though. Thanks for the link.

@russell: The bass player didn’t even know the song it was brandnew but he wanted to “pretend” he was playing, I was really against it but sometimes you just gotta let things slip with musicians.
