Seachickens-Bears. Can I go corrupt Jay Cutler?

Would be happier if it were pics of Tunchie. And, go, Seachickens! Vikes v. Dallas is gonna be strange.
Yutsano
@asiangrrlMN: Why? Old Man Yells At Cloud vs Romo the Ravisher (well in his mind anyway). Kinda tough to pick a winner so just dream of AP and all will be well.
(edited for bettah humor)

@Yutsano: I dunno. They don’t play each other often. But, yes, I will dream of AP and nothing else. Sigh.
Yutsano
@asiangrrlMN: I have developed a visceral hatred of anything related to the Dallas Cowboys thanks to their vile owner and their insipid quarterback who thinks he’s the second coming of Staubach. So for me at least this is easy, even with the OMYAC QB the Vikes have.

@Yutsano: Old man Yeller at Control? I got nothing. And, yeah. Hate the ‘boys.
Yutsano
@asiangrrlMN: Old Man Yells At Cloud. I’m trying to be at least a little bit humorous.
Current earworm. For some bizarre reason this song makes me laugh. The tribute to his wife at the end is a nice touch as well.

The Steelers vs. the San Mateo Community College Bulldogs is more like it.
Why not just sleep in, and then enjoy baseball?
Giants baseball… Torture!
Go Giants!

@Yutsano: Got it. Funny. Oh hell that video is a hoot. It’s like a stereotype on steroids. Heh. I’m outie. Night all.

Get ready to feel the Colt-mentum!
Actually, probably not. Hope the poor kid makes it out with all four limbs.

I see that Jonathan Pollard’s attorneys are asking Obama for clemency. They make it sound like an injustice was done to Pollard because he was ‘secretly’ told that he would only serve 10 years. The guy should stay locked up for the rest of his life, end of story. He sold classified information for money, he’s the worst kind of traitor. He didn’t care about anything but riches. He sold out, got busted, was made an Israeli citizen after Israel gave up denying they knew anything about him and now they (once again) are trying to drag Pollard’s sorry ass out of prison to bring him “home”.
His home is in a nice cell here in the good ol’ US of A, for the rest of his life. He earned it. Nuttinbutyahoo tried to buffalo Clinton into releasing Pollard by saying that he would make nice with Arafat. Clinton knew he was full of shit and didn’t fall for it.
Of course if Obama doesn’t release Pollard then it’s obvious that he hates Israel.

I want to see this campaign commercial.
“Allen West isn’t even acceptable to a gang of murderous, drug-dealing thugs. Is he really qualified to be our US Representative?”

Don’t you have another half-dozen front-pagers so you won’t have to make peace offerings for that reason?
Where the hell are they?

It looks as though Angela Merkel’s working towards that Fourth Reich:

What’s this moonshiners going up against Hispanics ? Really ?!
Okay, so I don’t do that whole sports thingie…
JGabriel
henqiguai:
Jeepers. I almost posted the exact same snark, but I figured my bewilderment with the popularity of spectator sports was already well established. So, henqiguai, you are not alone in your attitude to “the whole sports thingie.” Nor in your joke construction instincts.

One of my favorite musical memories (geezer alert) was going to hear this group called Dire Straits who had just put out this amazing single called Sultans of Swing. Their record company did not realize it would be a break-out hit and had booked them into a small club on the Sunset Strip. So there I was, one of about 150 incredibly lucky fans, listening up close and personal to Mark and his Strat. The place went wild — and there were about 5,000 people outside trying to get in.

Great song (lyrics here)…
Maybe some monetary expansion would help.

My random guess at surprise of the week: Lions take down the Giants.
For the rest, anything that makes Jerry “moonshine and madness” Jones weep is usually a good thing. In fact, my loathing of the Cowboys was the reason that, back in the day, I became a Dolphins fan, after watching them defeat the Voldemorts on the last kick of the game as the snow fell.
And later today, the Ravens will crush the Patsies and cosmic justice will be restored.
Cat Lady
@morzer:
No. Patriots are kickin’ it old school again, and Belichick coming off a bye – yeah. No.
morzer
@Cat Lady:
LOL. The Patsies got lucky last week, they’ve thrown away their one real offensive weapon, and Belichick has lost whatever magic he once possessed. Ravens to crush, as the rest of the NFL points and giggles.
gbear
@Yutsano:
More like Old Man Throws At Cloud.
I’m rooting for both teams to lose in the Vik/Cow game. May all their rabid fans gnash their teeth down to the root.
…and get them all off my lawn.
Cat Lady
@morzer:
If you think Belichick hasn’t threatened to cut off all of their nuts with a dull rusty razor blade if they don’t win this game after their ugly playoff exit, then I want what you’re smoking. They’re going to win this game.
/crossed fingers
morzer
@Cat Lady:
*chuckles*
I grant you that Belichick resembles a dull, rusty razor, but the Ravens are going to feast on the Patties. Brady no longer resembles a hero among QBs, he’s lost his deep threat, and the Patties D looks pitiable. Yes, they got lucky when Miami tossed them the game last week, but it’s been years since the Patties looked like an elite club. The Baltimore Beatdown is going to do some stern teaching today, and Belichick better take notes.

@Odie Hugh Manatee:
“..then it’s obvious that he hates Israel.”
If he keeps Pollard locked up, same thing. Whatever he does he hates Israel, that’s just a given. The country has thoroughly ingrained the right-wing point of view about almost everything. I wonder if sometimes Obama isn’t secretly convinced that Obama hates Israel.
Anyway, not that it matters, but if the Patriots can somehow come off with a win today, I’ll put them down as superbowl contendors. Even if the refs line up on the New Engad side of the field, I don’t see them managing it. I’ve never seen the Ravens so well-balanced, now that Flacco is finally learning how to play QB.
morzer
@JohnR:
Right. Flacco still isn’t an elite QB, but he’s learned how not to lose games, and that’s a considerable step forward.
