I see headlines like this: “Revenge of the Soccer Moms: Why Are Women Abandoning Obama?” and I wonder if the MSM and headline writers are finally getting some revenge on DougJ.

Maybe he’s decided to make some additional money moonlighting as a headline writer?

I’m pretty sure everyone in that article is DougJ. Also, I submit this, without comment.

Headlines and articles like that seem to me to be, in my favorite military euphemism, a target-rich environment.

I went to the Obama office here and they didn’t have any tote bags. Major disappoint.

It’s been a little over a week, so I’m going to do some light spamming again. On Feb 2, 2013 I’ll be taking part in the Fight for Air Climb in Jacksonville, FL. My Firefighting class is required by our Chief to do a community service project to remind and reinforce the idea that Firefighters are public servants and role models; personally, I agree with that sentiment. I don’t have a personal connection to lung cancer, or any cancer really, other than my continual struggle to quit smoking.
So, your donation, if you’re willing, either contributes money to that particular cause or buys you a small piece of my misery. I’ll be climbing 42 stories up in full bunker gear and air pack (roughly 30lbs). If you can or feel like it, please donate. I’ve already met my goal thanks to some very generous individuals. At this point it’s become a bit of a competition between classmates (I’m 3rd place) and to see if we can get our team into 1st (currently 2nd).

“Women are abandoning Obama” because the horse race narrative demands it.
What is actually happening is secondary to sustaining the horse race narrative. Infotainment, people! Infotainment!

Depends on what you want more: to donate to a good cause or to cause Cassidy physical misery. If you want to do both, it’s a two-fer!

Hell, I think they’re learning from him, not trolling him.
I love DougJ, but if he’s the future of our national discourse – and I suspect he is – we are in for a world of hurt.
SFAW
I must be missing something – people here think DougJ trolls?
I find it hard to believe that such an Astute Political Observer as DougJ would do such a thing.
That’s almost as ridiculous as suggesting that Mitt Romney lacks integrity, or that William Kristol’s judgment is suspect. So quit yanking my chain.

But DougJ has what plants crave!

@Cassidy: I’ve bookmarked this and will shoot you a donation next week. Sounds like a great cause. But I think we’ll need pictures.
Culture of Truth
by an amazing coincidence, the race is completely tied, reports the media, which is very excited by a tied race.

Why would it be “revenge”? Just because Obama banned soccer?
The Moar You Know
@ruemara: I knew that fucking self-aggrandizing alcoholic womanizing piece of shit Newsom would pull crap like this the first day he got a chance to.
Kristof? Man, starting at the bottom and work your way down. Newsom’s backup plan to “being president” must be “being Geraldo Riviera”.
Why yes, I’m a former SF resident, why do you ask?
Suffern ACE
Mr. Obama, what is your greatest flaw. Mr. Romney, what do you think is Obamas greatest flaw?
Culture of Truth
@Suffern ACE: David Gregory actually asked his guests a similar question a few weeks ago. It was hilarious.

Never mind, of course, that there really isn’t much evidence that the gender gap has disappeared. The new CBS/Quinnipiac Ohio Poll released this morning has women favoring Obama over Romney by 15 points, for example. It really does matter where pollsters are seeing this “narrowing gender gap”, doesn’t it?
But, you know, doesn’t fit the “narrative.” This election really needs to be over already.

Wait, wait, let me guess — the South?

@JenJen:
No, No, No. You can’t destroy the narrative.

@Mnemosyne: If the Electoral College saves us from the South unilaterally electing Mitt “he’s white, he’s probably got other characteristics” Romney, I’ll never badmouth it again.

Ugh, Yahoo News. The only thing worse than a Yahoo News item is the virulently rascist, sexist and wingnut comments the same news item collects. I have a very well established Yahoo account that I use for my store & professional society memberships and I cringe at ever time I make the mistake of reading a news item on the home page. If the commenters at Yahoo News were the majority view, the world would be a mashed up version of Pink Floyd’s The Wall and a Nancy Grace rally.

@Mnemosyne: @Matthew Reid Krell: Prettymuch. There’s a little something for everybody.
@TaMara (BHF): I will happily provide pictures.

sort of like the poll I read from FL a few days ago that had FL women even and had Mitt up 3 with Hispanics

How can you abandon Obama if you were never with him in the first place?
