    I’ve turned that video off three times now, and its keeps starting again while I’m reading the rest of the front page.

    It’s fucking annoying.

    Speaking of manliness, does anyone remember that book from the early 80s called Real Men Don’t Eat Quiche?

    I don’t know why I thought of that today, but I did, and it made me wonder, “What was up with that? Why did the author think quiche was unmanly? No, I mean, seriously, a Quiche Lorraine is eggs, bacon, cheese, and pie crust. What’s more macho than eggs, bacon, cheese, and pie crust, except maybe venison that you choked to death with your bear hands while it gored your side with its antlers leaving a gaping sucking wound in your side like the Fisher King’s, and/or maybe broiled steak? By which I mean the broiled steak being maybe macho, not maybe like a sucking wound in your side, though I suppose the steak maybe would be like that from the steer’s point of view.”

    Also, re: Video Auto-Start, you know, some of us are often running downloads in the background, and we really don’t want videos auto-starting and competing for bandwidth with our downloads.

    That’s kind of intrusive website behavior people associate with porn sites and Fox News propaganda.
