    Have a great vacation, David! Just to make you jealous, by the time you get back on Monday, my wife and son and I will be just starting our 2-week vacation. We’ll spend the second week on Anna Maria Island on Florida’s gulf coast. This will be the ninth straight year we’ve rented the same beach house. Can’t wait.

    I’m going on a writer’s retreat in Lake Arrowhead in a few weeks and now G is a little jealous because he didn’t realize it’s almost a full week, not just a weekend.

    Because of the headphones, I haven’t been making any noise at all. The strings are audible if you’re here in the room with me, but that sound doesn’t carry. So there’s been nothing to upset Bianca, although she’s still wondering what to make of the Girl. Especially when I wave the headstock in her general direction.

    We’re going to Edisto for a few days next week. Because of the various calamities we’ve suffered this year I have a ridiculous amount of fishing cash earmarked and while it’s not the greatest fishing time I’m going to go on a charter by myself!!!

    My current course (I’m an online adjunct) was cancelled due to low enrollment. So I guess I’ve got the next five weeks or so to see if I can get into some interesting trouble.
