On the Road is a weekday feature spotlighting reader photo submissions.
From the exotic to the familiar, whether you’re traveling or in your own backyard, we would love to see the world through your eyes.
Good Morning All,
This weekday feature is for Juicers who are are on the road, traveling, or just want to share a little bit of their world via stories and pictures. So many of us rise each morning, eager for something beautiful, inspiring, amazing, subtle, of note, and our community delivers – a view into their world, whether they’re far away or close to home – pictures with a story, with context, with meaning, sometimes just beauty. By concentrating travel updates and tips here, it’s easier for all of us to keep up or find them later.
So please, speak up and share some of your adventures and travel news here, and submit your pictures using our speedy, secure form. You can submit up to 7 pictures at a time, with an overall description and one for each picture.
You can, of course, send an email with pictures if the form gives you trouble, or if you are trying to submit something special, like a zipped archive or a movie. If your pictures are already hosted online, then please email the links with your descriptions.
For each picture, it’s best to provide your commenter screenname, description, where it was taken, and date. It’s tough to keep everyone’s email address and screenname straight, so don’t assume that I remember it “from last time”. More and more, the first photo before the fold will be from a commenter, so making it easy to locate the screenname when I’ve found a compelling photo is crucial.
Have a wonderful day, and enjoy the pictures!
Today, pictures from valued commenter realbtl.
My traveling partner and I are on a 16 Ireland trip, just got into Dublin last night (5-31). Today we walked around Trinity College and Temple Bar. We’ll be here until Tuesday when we embark on a 5 day IrishRail tour then another 5 days in Co Louth.

We are staying in a 100+ year old “workman’s house” about 3/4 mi. from the college. A very convenient place From which to explore the city.
Thank you so much realbtl, do send us more when you can.
Travel safely everybody, and do share some stories in the comments, even if you’re joining the conversation late. Many folks confide that they go back and read old threads, one reason these are available on the Quick Links menu.
One again, to submit pictures: Use the Form or Send an Email

Lovely photos. Second meeting up with Helen, next visit.
Makes me want a good strong cuppa Irish tea, and a Guinness later today.

“Michael Cohen sure sounds like a man ready to flip on Donald Trump—and one who thinks he has some things to say that matter beyond hush money to adult film actresses. Trump’s longtime personal lawyer spoke to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, telling him not just that “My wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will,” but that “I put family and country first.”
Cohen is a drama queen looking at years or a lifetime (his) behind bars. I don’t care how he feels, or what he may or may not do insofar as his family or his personal fate is concerned.. To quote the 19th century Mexican philosopher Tuco, where Cohen is concerned my only feeling is: “When you’re going to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk”. That is, don’t talk to “friends and reporters”. The greasy little shit…

Thanks folks, the trip was wonderful though I’m still assimilating the experience. I’m not used to so much difference day after day.
waratah
@realbtl: I am still assimilating our fourteen day trip to Greek islands and Italy. I really loved most of the differences.

Hi Alain,
I’m still having problems since the recent site changes. My name and email are gone, it’s not giving me a save, and I keep getting a message from Safari that it can’t “verify the identity of the website ‘videos.culturalconvergencemedia.com’.” Huh? This pops up every time I click on a thread to look at the comments.
thanks, sorry,
Kattails
@Alain the site fixer: Hi Alain, I just tried posting a comment and it disappeared after I closed the window and went back to the main site. My name and email aren’t being saved, and I keep getting a message from Safari saying that “the certificate for this website is invalid. You might be connecting to a website that is pretending to be ‘videos.culturalconvergencemedia.com’, which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the website anyway?” and then I get options to show certificate, cancel, or continue. What’s going on?
