Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Red lights blinking on democracy’s dashboard

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

You don’t get to peddle hatred on saturday and offer condolences on sunday.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

You’re just a puppy masquerading as an old coot.

Republican also-rans: four mules fighting over a turnip.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

Live so that if you miss a day of work people aren’t hoping you’re dead.

One way or another, he’s a liar.

American history and black history cannot be separated.

Giving up is unforgivable.

Mediocre white men think RFK Jr’s pathetic midlife crisis is inspirational. The bar is set so low for them, it’s subterranean.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

Well, whatever it is, it’s better than being a Republican.

I did not have this on my fuck 2025 bingo card.

I’m more christian than these people and i’m an atheist.

With all due respect and assumptions of good faith, please fuck off into the sun.

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

When we show up, we win.

This coming Wednesday, May 6, 2020, I will be speaking along side Dr. Anna Gassman-Pines on the topic if Pandemics and Poverty. My focus will (as always) be on health insurance and the kludges of the US healthcare system. The talk is open to the public as long as you pre-register.

Hope to see you there.

My daughter is a volunteer delivering medicine to people who cannot leave the house in NYC. God bless her brave heart. It worries the hell out of me. But besides that, why should she be a volunteer? We have massive unemployment and much new work that needs to be done — making and distributing masks. Taking Tempuratures, test logistics, finding who people have been in contact with. I am sure other things I can’t think of. There seems to be not much of a national effort to match the free labor to the tasks that need to be done right now.

Hmm. I don’t know this “Anderson” guy, but the picture looks a lot like Richard Mayhew. Whatever happened to him?

More seriously: thanks very much for posting this!
