Holy cow, the GOP actually being called out for their own bad actions by the MSM? Now I worry the world is coming to an end…

I am happy today. Nancy says she has the votes, so she has the votes. Great day.
And I am astounded by the patience of Joe, Schumer, and Nancy. I am so glad people like they enter politics. I would have throttled Manchin and Sinema months ago.

Even the FTNYT has this as a headline: ‘Republicans force the removal of a measure that would cap insulin prices at $35 for private insurers.’

@dmsilev: No subhead “Breath of fiscal responsibility contrasts with Democrat sea of red ink”?
I am in a pretty good mood already – an excellent week for the Dems and also an excellent week for my Mets (except, naturally, for the game I attended on Tuesday, but that is expected and so did not dampen my mood, and besides, I got to see somebody hit a home run in his first Major League game, and that’s both rare and a wonderful thing, even when he plays for the team you’re rooting against).
(Repeated.) Slightly reticent about asking because of rhymes-with-lowbid, so consider this tentative feeler as to whether or not folks may be interested in a B-J meet-up.
Planning to travel to NYC area August 24th through September 8th. Most popular days in the past have been on weekends, so that would mean a choice of
Friday, August 26
Saturday, August 27
Sunday, August 28
Friday, September 2
Saturday, September 3 Sunday, September 4
Monday, September 5 (Labor Day)
.
Preference as to a date? Also too, afternoon or evening? Any strike-throughs are dates someone already has mentioned as not being amenable to their schedule.
I just watched Hal Sparks watch the tfg speech at CPAC. I think Hals strategic use of a fart machine really put the whole rambling whining presentation in the proper perspective.

@satby: What is really making the difference I think for all of us right now is that he really made the choice. They could have intervened to save his life, but he said no. After that, the hospital and the hospice both made him comfortable until the end. The fact that he took the dignity to end his life at the time of his choosing I think is making his loss easier. It’s also possible it hasn’t hit me yet.
Oh my, I must have missed what is happening with you! Sending you good thoughts, whatever it may be.

@eclare: Several Progressive Dems have already stated on the record, they’re eager to vote and pass “as is!” Every”one” is willing to get this Bill to Biden.
Democrats are pumped about the Nov election, and hopefully win both Chambers to pass more Bills that include everything the Republicans shut down because they could. The ability to remove the filibuster will be huge.
Can probably make it, all possible days. Hope to see all youze there !
Not going to make arrangements this time. Renovating my building, so have to pack up my stuf, move out for week in later September. Fun fun fun.

OK, the Democrats kicking ass and passing legislation is awesome and all, but for truly awesome? Steve, aka That Magnificent Bastard, on his pink shag poof.
*That* is awesome. Thank you, JC!

Not only are they on a roll, but ABC framed the insulin part being removed as Republican’s fault.

Trump sure can pick them.

@dmsilev: The WaPo headline is even better:
“Republicans block cap on insulin costs for millions of patients.”
