    @RandomMonster: It’s the scene from Wizard of Oz, where Dorothy’s house has fallen on one of the Wicked Witches.  Mickey is Dorothy, and …. well, the white boots are those of Li’l Boots in that famous picture.

    @RandomMonster: The white object is the footwear. In Oz it was the witch’s red shoes. In this Photoshop it’s the white shrimper boots that DeSantis wore in a well-mocked photoshoot.I don’t have any idea what’s hanging out the window or if it’s Oz or something new.​

    I was kind of hoping DeSantis would stay in longer to make the primaries more of a contentions fight for Trump. He was always going to be the nominee, but perhaps a more contested primary battle could’ve weakened him a bit.

    Midnight voting is not going to take place in this tiny township for the first time since 1996 for New Hampshire’s first-in-the-nation primary Jan. 23, according to Town Moderator Les Schoof and Selectmen Chairman Mark Dindorf.

    The decision was made by Schoof the week before Christmas, as moderators had to have their polling hours submitted to the New Hampshire Secretary of State’s office, according to Dindorf.

    “There are 20-plus categories on each ballot. We didn’t want to stay up till 2 in the morning tabulating all of those write-ins,” Schoof when contacted by the Sun, adding that there are many more stringent voting law requirements this year, which was also mentioned by Dindorf.

    Said Dindorf, who was among those in the town who wanted the tradition to continue but who said he and others are deferring to Schoof’s decision not to continue the midnight voting for now, “The challenge has been mounting in terms of the increasing amount of paperwork and reporting required in the aftermath of the past election and to manage the added write-ins was an added challenge.     My rooting interest in the R primaries was INJURIES!! I wanted lots of back and forth damage dragging out.  Instead its less — a little worrisome, ( I am a worrier D after all ) – less damage more time for consolidation. Or maybe more time for self immolation?

    But he did get the job as understudy to the cast member playing the Creature from the Black Lagoon. The supervisor said that that way, they avoided the need to buy a second costume.
