Not loving this new fraud based economy.

The lights are all blinking red.

The way to stop violence is to stop manufacturing the hatred that fuels it.

You’re just a puppy masquerading as an old coot.

Republicans choose power over democracy, every day.

Every decision we make has lots of baggage with it, known or unknown.

Oh FFS you might as well trust a 6-year-old with a flamethrower.

Every reporter and pundit should have to declare if they ever vacationed with a billionaire.

But frankly mr. cole, I’ll be happier when you get back to telling us to go fuck ourselves.

When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty. ~Thomas Jefferson

These are not very smart people, and things got out of hand.

Fundamental belief of white supremacy: white people are presumed innocent, minorities are presumed guilty.

Finding joy where we can, and muddling through where we can’t.

This fight is for everything.

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

Mediocre white men think RFK Jr’s pathetic midlife crisis is inspirational. The bar is set so low for them, it’s subterranean.

Is it irresponsible to speculate? It is irresponsible not to.

The gop is a fucking disgrace.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Republicans: slavery is when you own me. freedom is when I own you.

Everybody saw this coming.

Historically it was a little unusual for the president to be an incoherent babbling moron.

Stop using mental illness to avoid talking about armed white supremacy.

Tuesday Evening Open Thread: An Inspiration to the World

The crowd in Paris celebrating Le Pen’s death is large.

He was a convicted Holocaust denier & his political views were rife with racism, Islamophobia & anti-semitism.

To many, he was a stain on French politics which remains to this day, despite his daughter’s attempts to soften the party’s image.

I am a bad person, but demonstrably not the only one fantasizing about this setting a precedent for the imminent expiration of a certain powerful American bigot…

Live your life such that your funeral isn't this joyous.

I wonder how the first convo with Hitler will go in hell. I’d imagine he might take Holocaust denial personally. All that effort for naught!

This is soooo gonna happen when Trump dies. I know for sure I’ll be in the crowd. Even if I have to fly back from Dublin where I plan to escape.

Wow. The French don’t hold anything back, do they? Firing off fireworks to celebrate someone’s death in the center square of Paris?

Imagine the sheer number of Villagers that would run for the fainting couches if we did this on the Mall the day of Trump’s death. Why, it might start a trend!

Man, I hope Marine Le Pen, Orange, Bibi, and other utterly contemptible pieces of shit are watching this.

@ArchTeryx: I think the only thing to rival it will be Ukrainians when Putin finally croaks.

We can only hope that Ukraine still exists as an independent state when Putin finally croaks.

I’m convinced he’s using the same life prolonging apparatus that Darth Cheney’s used to get this far, meaning he’s got at least another 11 years at the helm.  Sigh.

“…not the only one fantasizing about this setting a precedent for the imminent expiration of a certain powerful American bigot…”

Well, I have a good guess as to who that might be, but it encompasses almost the entire GOP at the moment.

I hope that orange shitstain is watching this and quivering like the cowardly garbage that he is.  I feel very French tonight.  Sadly, I have no French blood but I did have an uncle by marriage, Marcel Hegert, who was first generation French American.  So I say that counts.

    That’s my growing-up territory.
Haven’t been back in … umm … decades, so it’s not as if I know anyone personally who is in danger.
But I remember how impossible it was to get out of one of the canyons back there.

SORRY I just listened again — they’re saying “il est mort” (he is dead), as noted above. Funny that I heard it as Vive la France, which would also be good!

Normally this would call for opening champagne. However there’s still champagne from New Years, so he’s not going to have a celebratory toast to his descent into hell with a fresh crack like Kissinger and Lieberman.

I’m remembering the literal dancing in the streets after Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 election.   The demise of you-know-who should trigger a similar outburst, if not more.

@Old School: I’m gonna be the asshole and say “too bad it wasn’t the daughter who died today”.

Old man should have been in hell decades ago, but at least he was no longer politically powerful.

Daughter didn’t succeed in destroying French government in recent elections, but she’s still alive, she still has power with her followers, still dangerous to freedom, democracy, peace.

I’m actually sure there is no Hell but that doesn’t stop me from hoping that there is, so that I could wish her in it.
