I see that John Cole has commented on Kevin Drum’s noticing of a particular line in a Robert Novak article. Kind of cool, huh? – and pretty symbolic of our mutual hobby in general, yes? Anyway, the sentence: A footnote:
The Commissar
And such a non-event drew 70+ comments at CalPundit???

” Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, once thought to be in line for the top job at either State or Defense in the second term, is reported to have lost favor at the White House.”
Damn those Democrats for printing frilly trivia like that!
Except that it was, you know, Bob Novak.

C’mon Pal….CalPundit is a waste of your valuable blog time and space. Who cares what he says?

Maybe Wolfowitz will get a better position in the Clark or Dean Administrations.

Poor Kevin, reduced to fantasies. If Powell goes, I’d bet on Miller or maybe Breaux. Wolfowitz is in the right position and I don’t see him moving. The Demos know they can’t win the Presidency so they’re reduced to imaginary Bush appointments. Dream on guys.

I’m still baffled why anyone reads Drum’s nonsense.

Good lord, how does Drum manage to come up with nothing but reasons that either make Wolfowitz or the rest of the Bushies look bad? There is no unsinister reason he might be passed over for a job?

…reminds me of the non-stop speculation about Hillary’s non-run with her non-existent campaign for an office she’s repeatedly and insistently denied that she’s even running for.
i wonder if her denials will hurt her chances??!!

If not that, there’d be little other than pictures of cats.
