Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

It is possible to do the right thing without the promise of a cookie.

In after Baud. Damn.

The line between political reporting and fan fiction continues to blur.

The gop is a fucking disgrace.

Fuck these fucking interesting times.

The Giant Orange Man Baby is having a bad day.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

You can’t attract Republican voters. You can only out organize them.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

We are learning that “working class” means “white” for way too many people.

When I was faster i was always behind.

They want us to be overwhelmed and exhausted. Focus. Resist. Oppose.

’Where will you hide, Roberts, the laws all being flat?’

Whoever he was, that guy was nuts.

It’s always darkest before the other shoe drops.

It’s a good piece. click on over. but then come back!!

Sadly, media malpractice has become standard practice.

Bad people in a position to do bad things will do bad things because they are bad people. End of story.

There are times when telling just part of the truth is effectively a lie.

You cannot love your country only when you win.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

They are not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

Here is a link to Congress where you can submit your comments about the Consumer Broadband and Digitial Television Promotion Act (CBDTPA) currently being proposed by Hollings et. al. Go there now and sign the petition.

My remarks were typically hotheaded and mean-spirited, and they will probably not be published:

Are you people insane? Is Fritz Hollings that married to Big Entertainment?

It is time for you guys to leave things you REALLY, REALLY don’t understand alone, and go back to fussing with things that you simply REALLY don’t understand.

Like Social Security Reform. Or tax code. Or Tort Reform. Or McCain-Feingold and the 1st amendment.

When you are done, go visit Bill Says This, where I found the link, and thank him for the heads up. He has a nice little site with a lot of goodies.

Steve at HappyFunPundit caught the rhyming bug too:

Twas the third day of April, and all through the East
Not a creature was stirring, except a rough beast
The sensors and landmines concealed in the sod
Were set to help terrorists meet with their God.

Al Qaeda was nestled all snug in their beds
While visions of martyrdom danced in their heads.
And I, having lived through their unfriendly fire,
Settled down for a nap in this brutal quagmire.

This is just beautiful. Will Warren beats Alex Beam with a rhyme. I have not laughed so hard since the Heather Mallick poem.

He’s the ’62 Mets of the features page,
The de Havilland Comet of the modern age.
As solid as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge,
As sure as the Exxon Valdez, or Tom Ridge.
He’s the fourth Stooge, Charlie Brown without the nice,
The Titanic steaming madly toward the ice,
The Ottoman Empire of the copy desk,
With head so marbleized it’s quite statuesque.
Of prose pros in Beantown, he’s the shoddiest,
Of all Hub nimrods, he’s the nimroddiest.
He’s the ornament of the All-Schlump team:
Hail King Alex, news crap-out supreme!

This is just beautiful. WillPost + Comments

Is this memo really necessary?

Is this memo really necessary?

The State Department, citing a “deteriorating security situation,” warned Americans on Tuesday to defer travel to Israel, the West Bank and Gaza and said dependents of American diplomats in Jerusalem were being encouraged to go home.

“The potential for further terrorist acts remains high,” the travel warning said. “The situation in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza remains extremely volatile with continuing terrorist attacks, confrontations and clashes.”
