Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The truth is, these are not very bright guys, and things got out of hand.

Sadly, media malpractice has become standard practice.

We can’t confuse what’s necessary to win elections with the policies that we want to implement when we do.

Our job is not to persuade republicans but to defeat them.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

The lights are all blinking red.

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

Republicans are the party of chaos and catastrophe.

There are more Russians standing up to Putin than Republicans.

Too little, too late, ftfnyt. fuck all the way off.

This blog will pay for itself.

I would try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

In after Baud. Damn.

One way or another, he’s a liar.

Hey hey, RFK, how many kids did you kill today?

Reality always lies in wait for … Democrats.

Baby steps, because the Republican Party is full of angry babies.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Boeing: repeatedly making the case for high speed rail.

“Facilitate” is an active verb, not a weasel word.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

If you cannot answer whether trump lost the 2020 election, you are unfit for office.

… riddled with inexplicable and elementary errors of law and fact

Our ‘Ally,’ The French

Insert your own punchline to this joke:

President Jacques Chirac called today for the immediate transfer of sovereignty in Iraq to the Iraqi people, and indicated that France would only approve a new United Nations resolution that recognized this need.

They really have no shame, do they?

One must have a conscience to know what shame is, so it is highly unreasonable to expect France to show shame. They are totally incapable of showing anything but hubris and pomposity.

Rather unilateral of them to do something like that.

It is my understanding that France has indicted that she will not veto any new resolution but may vote against it.

The decision not to veto is, of course, good news. If the administration can garner the votes, it can get the resolution it wants.

Even if the administration can’t get the votes it will not matter. After all the UN is irrelevant and useless, right?

I believe that we shouldn’t vote for any resolution that does not ensure the immediate transfer of sovereignty over france back to Germany.

Followed by massive reparations from the french for a wasted liberation effort.

Tsk, tsk, Misha. As Emperor I would think you would claim the return of Gaul to the empire.

Not a bad point, Robin, not at all a bad point. But seeing as how I’m already Emperor of all of the Known Universe, it really doesn’t matter to whom the Gauls go.

And the Huns have been so good at pacifying the Gauls in the past.
