Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

We still have time to mess this up!

You don’t get rid of your umbrella while it’s still raining.

Accused of treason; bitches about the ratings. I am in awe.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

Too often we confuse noise with substance. too often we confuse setbacks with defeat.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Good lord, these people are nuts.

You can’t love your country only when you win.

Optimism opens the door to great things.

Bark louder, little dog.

The most dangerous place for a black man in America is in a white man’s imagination.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

They’re not red states to be hated; they are voter suppression states to be fixed.

He really is that stupid.

The GOP is a fucking disgrace.

Prediction: the GOP will rethink its strategy of boycotting future committees.

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Their freedom requires your slavery.

The GOP couldn’t organize an orgy in a whorehouse with a fist full of 50s.

Sick

I am sick with the double whammy- strep throat and bronchitis, which means my tickets to the Steelers on the 50 yard line tomorrow are useless. I want to cry. I don’t know when I will post next.

Get well soon, John. Strep all by itself is bad enough; my daughter had it twice in a row one winter; I spent a LOT of time on the couch with her sleeping on top of me. She was about 2.5 years old at the time; you probably don’t feel the need. And…as much as I like you, I’m not offering. Still, get better.

    Dammit, John :(

Get to feeling better and damn soon too.

Went through the same earlier this year and it’s absolutely no fun. Just stay in bed, drink lots of fluid and remember to do ALL of your antibiotics.

For now, just concentrate on getting better. We’ll still be here when you get back :)

Not to make you feel any worse, but once I had strep throat and a fever of 102 and still went to a Steelers playoff game at 3R. Then again, that was the playoffs, and I don’t think the Steelers would have forgiven me if I had missed it. They needed all the help they could get. Sure, I shouted myself hoarse and made myself even more sick, but the Steelers won and, dammit, isn’t that what counts?

    :-)

Good job, JC. The great ones play with pain.

What if Swanny, Franco, and Mean Joe would’ve stayed home when they beat the Oilers in that AFC Championship game back in ’78 or ’79 when it was about 10 degrees and the Three Rivers turf was a sheet of ice?

National health insurance always looks better when you’re sick. (At least penicillin is cheap.)

Last season I had to give away TWO (count ’em, two!) sets of Steelers tickets, as I was stuck in Louisiana doing the Lord’s work on the US Senate runoff.

I hope you made it after all.

Misha and I agree again. The Creator does have a sense of humor.

    Get well soon, John.

Hey guys, i don’t know what this is but it seems like you guys love to talk about your sicknesses.
I have a sickness that i want you guys to pray for:
My mind, all the struggles that i go through in my mind, Satan tries and tries to ruin my ministry in the beginning of my school year and it weakens me spiritually like crazy, and i love JESUs.
