Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

🎶 Those boots were made for mockin’ 🎵

We’re watching the self-immolation of the leading world power on a level unprecedented in human history.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

fuckem (in honor of the late great efgoldman)

“I was told there would be no fact checking.”

The arc of the moral universe does not bend itself. it is up to us to bend it.

Sadly, media malpractice has become standard practice.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

Insiders who complain to politico: please report to the white house office of shut the fuck up.

The gop is a fucking disgrace.

Michigan is a great lesson for Dems everywhere: when you have power…use it!

The lights are all blinking red.

The fundamental promise of conservatism all over the world is a return to an idealized past that never existed.

Dear media: perhaps we ought to let Donald Trump speak for himself!

Republicans firmly believe having an abortion is a very personal, very private decision between a woman and J.D. Vance.

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

Their boy Ron is an empty plastic cup that will never know pudding.

This country desperately needs a functioning fourth estate.

Republicans cannot even be trusted with their own money.

“Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.”

One lie, alone, tears the fabric of reality.

Humiliatingly small and eclipsed by the derision of millions.

My wife doesn’t care about basketball, but in hopes of getting her a little interested in March Madness, I submitted an entry in the office pool under her name. I figured if she had a team to root for she might get into it a little more.

Last night, Illinois was playing Air Force. She doesn’t care about either team, but she has Illinois in the office pool, so she was cheering for Illinois. I guess my plan worked!

“But they’re playing the Air Force Academy,” I said to her. “Why do you hate the troops?”

    Oh, the look I got.

I have WVU losing to Southern Illinois because of their mediocrity over the last 6 weeks. Despite so many teams from the Big East joining the big dance, I really only see Connecticut and Villanova doing anything. I have Pitt winning their first game against Kent State, but losing to Kansas.

    John,

I have WVa going down to SIU today. Doesn’t look good for the Big East, except for UConn. I have them picked to win it all. Northern Iowa currently leading GU and I have Kent State aking down Pitt.

Of course what do I know, I had Iowa as one of my Final four teams. The only team I’m really pulling for is Kansas.

Had to run to grocery store! Tried to get hubby out of house early, but pharmacy took 40 minutes. Then hubby said we had to go to another grocery store to get challah and yogurt, so I ran him out of his mom’s house early to get home before 5 pm, and could not find the game on the radio. I could have sworn we would get home in time!
The Valley is not having a good day. Come on, Bradley! You can do it!
