Bush was a heckofa lot more convincing. Scary thought, that.

I have a theory about this. Bush knows (at least, I assume Rove told him) that he can’t run for a 3rd term. Now suddenly we get this woman most people never heard of, who mangles the English language, oozes fake folksiness, and has a heavy accent that’s easy to fake. Both of them seem to be in hiding, to the point where Bush didn’t even attend the convention. The real tipoff was when she said "nook-yoo-lar."
Has anyone actually seen Bush & Palin together?

I’m just hoping that there is a plurality of Americans who are saying "Fool me once…."

Meh. Kind of a weak vid on substance: every "non-Washington" candidate runs on "change," "reform," "bi-partisanship," and a new "spirit" (or whatever). The rhetoric mash-up is kind of neither here nor there, imo (you could probably do it with Obama’s early rhetoric, circa 2007).
What really nails the similarity btwn Bush and Palin is the folksy "charm" (read=creepiness). And that slo-mo wink is . . . um . . . well, it’s sure something all right.
Also: To much K.O. (I’m getting rather sick of that guy).

October Surprise = Tranny Surprise? Awesome.

The fact that Palin is anywhere near the postition she is right now says that this country’s mind is totally fucked up. If McCain/Palin win, we as a country need to be institutionalized for the safety of the rest of the world. Needless to say, nobody gets to not vote this November.

Frankly I don’t think their remarks are too similar. And if promoting bipartisanship and change are indication of Bush-style politics, well then I’d hate to see an Obama presidency.
Not saying McCain/Palin would offer any significant divergence from Bush’s policies, of course. Just saying that this particular line of attack isn’t the most honest, or effective.

Comrade Nikolita
Some of the comments aren’t too similar, but the idea behind the video is still a little creepy.

@Tara the antisocial social worker:
It’d be too hard for him to fake that "don’tcha know" accent, though.
oh really
She said "obsessive partisanship," didn’t she?
Jeebus, she’s an idiot.
