Finally, a Tunch sighting! I has a happeh. What is he looking at?
Does this tail make my butt look big?

Actually Tunch is not all that big, we all know that camera adds pounds and white is not particularly slimming, so really in RL Tunch is quite tiny, honest.

Indoor kitties love their windows.
Why are mainstream new outlets reporting anything about Sarah Ferguson? Christ on a crispy, this is not news at all and especially not before the “fold”.

Love Tunchie to death. Thank you. He iz king!
I mentioned my beloved work cat KC the other day. Last night I went in to work with my former boss’s permission to use the copiers and she was there as she always is. I took some video with my iPhone and haz a ginormous happy at seeing my cat on the phone. I’ll try to patch it together for yall to see.
I’m also editing MW2 videos together. Akimbo pistols and Model 1887s can make for some gooooooood times.

Tunch is so dainty looking when he’s en pointe.

Looks like Cole has outsourced looking for a lot of people who suck, and will just have to go to Tunch. I am somewhat concerned about this development.
Wikipedia says that meercats are mean and tough (check), must forage every day (read ‘eat all the time’, so check on that too), and are immune to poisons so difficult for their prey and enemies to kill (check). But it also says that meercats have no body fat (NON check).
In the spirit of His Tunchness, I thank Cole for this Tunchpic and crankily demand a lot more all the time right now.

Observing this photograph, I just realized that Tunch’s unique and stark coloring/marking differentials makes his tail appear to be nothing other than a serpentine, caramel colored turd, ceaselessly and unsuccessfully extricating itself from the inside of his otherwise cream colored body.
It’s lovely.

I could be wrong, but other than The Tuncher pounding down just a buttload (thus the loading of the butt) of tuna, this is the first “action” shot I can recall of him.

Oh John, about the widow sill….
Since it might take you a few weeks to get that basement wood working shop up and running (you know you are going to do it), Petsmart has pre-fab sill shelves.
…makes his tail appear to be nothing other than a beige turd, ceaselessly and unsuccessfully extricating itself from the inside of his otherwise cream colored body.
I was having visions of Bill Clinton and his cigars.
It’s too easy, but I must. How long ago did Tunchie actually sit on Garfield?
All Hail Tunch!

So, I just recently got HBO so that could watch “Treme”. Lately, they’ve been plugging the 3rd season of “True Blood”. I’m a big vampire fiction fan. I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer (loved the movie), but I LOVED Angel. When CW/WB canceled I honestly just stopped watching any vampire television shows. So when True Blood came on, I avoided watching it (I also have an aversion to watching things that are overly hyped), so I did not really watch it but since they’ve been showing so many promos for it, I finally decided to bite the bullet.
So I’m watching True Blood on HBO Demand. Does anyone else watch True Blood? Is it worth my time?

But won’t the two Jack Nicholson Tazmanian Devil Bull Rover Terrorizers, or whatever they’re called, rip the feline solarium to shreds as soon as they come over?
18.
robertdsc
The Feline Solarium is constructed from PETG a transparent thermoplastic which is stronger and more durable than Acrylic
I think Tunch requires something a LOT thicker. Bulletproof or security glass that many banks use, maybe?

I mentioned on another thread that the Reason crowd gets pretty pissy when someone mentions Somalia. However, what would a libertarian suggest would be the best way for a country like Somalia to develop? Would it be advisable to go about it in a purely free market driven way?
IMO, libertarianism would be an awful way to go about it. You need significant investment in education, infrastructure, etc. My problem with libertarianism is that it completely overlooks public goods. Educating a largely illiterate agrarian population is not something that’s going to reap rewards in the short term, so you need an entity that’s not completely profit driven to do it.
I’m picking on libertarians but I don’t think anyone knows exactly the best way to do this.
@Mark S.: Why would anyone want the political entity known as Somalia to develop? The libertarian way for it to develop is for someone with enough money to hire protection to go in and exploit everybody in sight. The guy with the money to begin with will make more, and the poor people will still be poor.
Libertarians aren’t interested in developing, they’re interested in exploiting.
@lamh32: True Blood is television crack. I watched the first episode and then couldn’t get enough. I found myself waiting like a true addict for the next DVD to arrive in the mail until I finished season 1. Practically in a 10-step program waiting for season 2 to drop.
That’s a great pose for Tunch — it makes him look rather svelte.
And I cannot, freaking WAIT for Chuck tonight…it is going to be epic. I’ll laugh, I’ll cry, I’ll hurl, I’ll be right at the edge of my seat.
25.
jl
@robertdsc: I bet Tunch will claw, bite, and laser eye beam through that thermoplastic wet paper bag stuff in about five seconds.
Whatever they use for windows in the Presidential limo, Cole needs to order that stuff for the solarium, and hope that Tunch doesn’t get lucky.

@MikeJ: Libertarians aren’t even interested in exploiting – they’re interested in patting themselves on the back about how smart and special they are. The exploiters consistently vote Republican, not Glibertarian.

For the Chuck finale I have splurged and ordered take-out pizza. Currently have the end of Miyazaki’s Spirited Away warming up the big-ass TV. I love that movie.
And I scored the first two seasons of Chuck on DVD from a coworker, so I will be getting up to speed on the back-story.
I started watching the 1st season on HBO on Demand, and your are right. I was hooked by ep 2. Then once I met Lafayette and Tara, I was sold. TV crack is right. The only other show I watched that hooked me in 2-3 episodes was Fringe on Fox.

the cat solarium with the bowl of nuts for squirrels just outside looks like a good way to drive your cat into an absolute frenzy.
I just got in from my first day at work. It’s a large company, so occasionally I have to walk across the ginormous building… and I’ve spent the past year sitting on my ass playing Warcrack. This will be a really good thing, but at the moment I’m *tired*. Company’s not as formal as I was afraid of, tho, so that’s a good thing. Very happy I got the job (after six months of interviewing for the position!), and profoundly grateful I blew the earlier interview for a position in Kentucky.

Woohoo! Who else is watching the Celtics close out the Magic tonight?
When Ann Curry, news anchor of the Today Show, gave the commencement speech at Wheaton College in Massachusetts last Saturday, she listed several famous graduates — Wes Craven and Billy Graham among them — of the wrong Wheaton College. Curry mistakenly listed the graduates of an evangelical school in Illinois rather than the secular, once all-women college in Massachusetts.
As a Brit and a pal of Andy, I am hugely dissapointed with Fergie at this point. My gawd I have forgiven her a multitude of sins cause Andy loves her, but what the fuck? (and pal of Andy means yes, worked with him, palled aroud with him, drank with him, yada yada)
True Blood is television crack. I watched the first episode and then couldn’t get enough.
I watched the first two episodes after getting a DVD of season one and so far haven’t gone back to it. I would like to, but I keep finding other things to watch/do. It’s not that I dislike it. That tail always makes me smile.
Meanwhile I am sitting on the couch next to a snoring beagle who is all curled up with her dearest friend, an orange and white kitty. I think they really believe they are siblings.
re: True Blood. I believe I made a comment on BJ last year that said something like, “I tried True Blood, but it’s too damn weird for me.”
But I guess I got into “too damn weird” or something because I’m definitely addicted to it now. It’s NOT something to take seriously. It’s hilarious and campy and sometimes poignant and there’s lots of pretty people to look at, but don’t go in expecting some sort of high concept drama.
You should also know that the first season is a tad slow and can be a bit of a slog, but season two definitely picks up the pace.
