Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

They were going to turn on one another at some point. It was inevitable.

People really shouldn’t expect the government to help after they watched the GOP drown it in a bathtub.

This has so much WTF written all over it that it is hard to comprehend.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

Motto for the House: Flip 5 and lose none.

If you are still in the gop, you are either an extremist yourself, or in bed with those who are.

She burned that motherfucker down, and I am so here for it. Thank you, Caroline Kennedy.

Oh FFS you might as well trust a 6-year-old with a flamethrower.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

Lick the third rail, it tastes like chocolate!

Today’s gop: why go just far enough when too far is right there?

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

Tick tock motherfuckers!

Fight them, without becoming them!

The line between political reporting and fan fiction continues to blur.

“Until such time as the world ends, we will act as though it intends to spin on.”

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

Authoritarian republicans are opposed to freedom for the rest of us.

If senate republicans had any shame, they’d die of it.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

If you cannot answer whether trump lost the 2020 election, you are unfit for office.

The words do not have to be perfect.

He wakes up lying, and he lies all day.

Shameless plug: Don’t forget the audio version, it’s really good. I produced it. :-) I don’t normally spam about these things but the voices we got for the three main characters are terrific.

Apropos of nothing, but the end is near: Gmail has crashed and is unavailable for millions of accounts. Not clear whether all stored massages have been lost. Huge black eye for Google.

@Grover Gardner: A brother of mine is having to depend on audio books while he recuperates from eye surgery and I’ll pass this on.

@Keith G: John’s busy posting. He already has a new post up.

Anyone knows how “intrusive” is the “Kindle for PC” software? I want to give it a try but I dread the “official malware” this kind of programs usually carry. Does it force any changes in your machine? How smooth is it?

From the web blurb on the book:

“At the center of the mystery is Carson Chambliss, a snake handling ex-convict turned preacher whose past is just as mysterious as the power he claims to possess.”

I’d give the movie part to Walton Goggins, complete with special computer – generated Meth Mouth.

Checked my email first thing this morning, and saw the novel had been delivered to my Kindle this a.m. – then saw this. So looking forward to reading it – the reviews have been great.

    @Nemo_N:
Kindle for PC is an application. You can download Kindle books. It doesn’t do anything to your computer or collect any information. You set up an account at Amazon.
You can also get Nook for PC at Barnes & Noble. Same type of application.
You can get free ebooks at both places.
