I gotta do this. When is the new/old theme coming into being?

Let me add my OT.. Miss Moxie was just doing her cookie whine. When I refused her demand, she took one that she had stashed and came and ate it in front of me.

Cole, I just don’t know how you can live with yourself. First you stoke the more sensitive amongst the commentariat regarding the apparent disappearance of an authoritarian paranoid agoraphobic shut in, and then you pull the rug out from under them with a fucking sports thread!
Have you no sense of decency sir? At long last?

Seriously, Cole. I’ve had enough of this shit, though if Sid could get a few goals exactly like the one he got the other night, I don’t think we’ll have to worry. GO PENS!

Seven games. Calling it now. If only to give a yinzer Marine ulcers if nothing else.
Since it’s an open thread, I was at Fry’s (grocery store) this afternoon w/ the fam and just happened to run into Capt. Keith from Deadliest Catch while I was there. He was doing a promotional visit for king crab.
Fun to meet him, as I’m a big fan of the show. He posed for pics and signed autographs for the kiddos.

Hey aren’t the Islanders going to Brooklyn soon? Anyhow the Memphis-OKC game has been most entertaining. One more thing, is Wigan spared from relegation?
I KNOW I have a half-gallon can of sesame oil around here somewhere. But it has apparently run away with John’s mustard. So I have to season my dol sot with grapeseed oil. *sigh*
Don’t worry, I’ll search for you, too, after you’re silenced in a gory road-rage incident.
And, per JSF himself, this place is “a blog audience that is largely elderly white shut-ins with four or more animals living vicariously through a a near-recluse hillbilly in West Virginia.”
They played a great game and deserved to win. They stayed on the attack all the way. My only concern was that throughout the game when things got down near their penalty area they went all soft and spongy. But Man City couldn’t capitalize. And that Wigan goalie’s foot save was awesome.

@MikeJ: How does a Wigan fan celebrate? It would be like say Jacksonville Jaguars winning the Super Bowl and then moving to Los Angeles

More like the MN Twins win the World Series and then gets demoted to AAA.

That was the most pathetic attempt at a power play I have ever seen….of course they around and score a quick even strength goal…. These Pens are going to give me heart failure…..

Wonderful feed for the tying goal.
Wigan deserved the win. Rumors about a management change never helps any team, but Wigan was ManC’s master today.
Incidentally, Chelsea has somehow wonderfully made the CL next year thanks to Frank Lampard’s (Chelsea club) record-setting goals. GBY Super Frank!

@Steeplejack: Bro, if you can just find that fucking mustard I think we’ll all be better off somehow.
Personally I’d start with Mom Cole. She seems to kind of hate JG, if you ask me.
22.
Mr Stagger Lee
@MikeJ: Yes that is more like it. It would be fun to see relegation adopted in the United States, but there would have to be more sports teams in the US. But I would love to see the fun if a major market sports team say the Chicago Cubs or the New York Jets were to suffer such a fate.

Let’s Go Islanders!!
I’ve been in the dumps since Mark Sanford won the runoff race in my district. I’m a transplanted Long Islander living outside of Charleston, SC and still a long time Islander fan. I have my Brian Trottier peanut butter jar on display along with my other paraphernalia. How I long for the good old days.
BIG SIGH!

I’m just glad the Sens are into the second round. This is probably Alfredsson’s last season, and I’d really love for him to be able to hoist the cup before he goes.
It’s an outside shot, I know, but a fan can dream.

Be thankful you aren’t watching this in the NY area on MSGPlus. My goodness Stan Fiscler sucks.
Somebody on this blog is bound to have a special mustard-sniffing dog. Let’s get them on it.
And, yes, Mom Cole seems like a hard case.

I really miss the “latest comments” gizmo. Hard to follow the action around here. I can’t believe the hockey game is in overtime and this thread flatlined half an hour ago. Can’t anybody do two things at once?
ETA: And the Pens close it out!

Oh, thank goodness, I could not have handled a game seven!

A double poster! And I thought LA’s series-winning goal yesterday with 0.2 seconds left in the period was freakish.

Since both the Habs and the Nucks let me down I might as well enjoy myself here. :P

It’s baseball season. The Pirates beat the Mets 11-1 today. Liriano pitched an excellent 6 innings.

So who caught that Wigan game, huh? A team that has their fate sealed re: relegation won the FA Cup.
