Armed US Drones across the Border from North Korea. What could possibly go wrong?

I’m still having difficulty with the mobile site. It doesn’t come up sometimes for about 5-10 minutes.

@rikyrah: I was wondering why there was a website devoted to new snow in Hawaii.

We have 2 kittens at our library. Abandoned. They are SO friendly they had to be born indoors with people. My coworker is taking them to vet for emergency checkup. I might Foster them for a time to help out

We are having a blizzard! It’s pretty close to a white out right now. After a brief walk, the dog is now as close to the fireplace as a dog can get without being in the fireplace.
Immanentize
@MomSense: yes, same here, but it is really wet and heavy snow. Power went out about an hour ago. Sad! I’m scrubbing a floor for fun.

@MomSense:
Rain/snow line working it’s way North thru Providence, but forming a circle around Northern RI, where it’s still all snow.

I just got done shoveling. The snow is starting to pick up again. Thanks, Trump.

@Immanentize: @efgoldman:
The snow is pretty dry here still. I haven’t heard yet whether this storm is going to “weather bomb” us. Last I heard the pressure was still dropping and it was likely. Bombogenesis doesn’t sound fun but I guess that’s what roof rakes are for.
greennotGreen
It’s cold and grey here in the midsouth, nothing like New England is getting, but I might fire up the wood stove when I get home out of sympathy for our more northerly compatriots.

@PaulW:
Pics would be welcome ?
FlyingToaster
@MomSense: Clearly they sent you our snow. We’re getting white stuff, sideways. And it looks like the rain is less than an hour out.
schrodingers_cat
Total whiteout conditions here. The road, the yard, the farm across the road all look like an expanse of the frozen tundra.
MomSense
@FlyingToaster
This is classic nor’easter although now you can’t tell which way the wind is blowing because it’s all white. My problem is that my little house is on the South West corner of my street so if the wind conditions are just wrong, all the snow drifts onto my house. One time the kids jumped out the second story window and shoveled a tunnel to the back door because we couldn’t open it.

Shoveling sun here. Warm enough I haven’t needed a jacket cycling home for the last week. After our soggy winter I’m quite fine with this.
For consideration to add to our He seems nice file:

@Baud: Really? That’s so weird…is this on all devices or just one? What OS/version and device? Sometimes I force refresh – hold down refresh button in browser address bar and try loading desktop site or load without content blockers but that’s iOS/Safari and not universal. Oh – and then I load the mobile site normally and it works fine. I’ve not had to do that for a long while – the mobile site for me is purring like an well-tuned engine! Is is accessing the main site, or posts?
Baud
@Alain the site fixer: Android Chrome. The entire mobile site won’t come up.
Betty
@rikyrah: Well, now, how can he operate the shadow government from Oahu? Doesn’t make sense.

@Betty:
When he left the WH several drones followed him home like pet goats.

Sun between flying clouds in Southern MD now. Snow squalls are gone. I went out a while ago and noted that pines and Bradford Pears took the brunt of the ice and frozen rain from this morning. Still blowing, and supposed to keep it up for a couple of days.
Stay safe up there!
J R in WV
We got a bit of winter here in WV. Less than an inch, though, and that only on cars, decks, tables and such. IT was so warm the past couple of weeks the ground was too warm for much to stick.
These storms cut south of us on the one hand, and north of us on the other hand! The mountains in the eastern ridge part of the state got quite a bit, and I imagine the Eastern panhandle got some too. But that’s over 3000 feet, pushing close to 4000, and their climate is quite a bit different from that in the west where we live.
Speaking of pictures, I took quinerly’s advice and looked up her road on youtube – best was a guy on a BMW bike, although you couldn’t tell it was steep, you could see the rock mountains the road went down the side of. The top result of the search was interesting to start, but then it turned out most of the through-the-windshield video – 65% or so was a long shot of the dashboard – boring!
I could tell why her pooch was freaked out, though, lots of straight down, and a bumpy road. Gorgeous views, though.

@PaulW: Library cats, like Baker and Taylor, are a thing, so maybe they could stay.
Another Scott
@Baud: It’s working here, FWIW. LG V10 on Marshmallow.
Cheers,

@PaulW: Watch it, that’s how you end up with kitties!
schrodingers_cat
@PaulW: You can blog about them. They sound squee.

@Baud I reset the android settings, let me know if it works now. Is your phone old or running an old version of Android?
