Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

A democracy can’t function when people can’t distinguish facts from lies.

Red lights blinking on democracy’s dashboard

Sadly, there is no cure for stupid.

And now I have baud making fun of me. this day can’t get worse.

When we show up, we win.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

Never give a known liar the benefit of the doubt.

The Supreme Court cannot be allowed to become the ultimate, unaccountable arbiter of everything.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

Wow, I can’t imagine what it was like to comment in morse code.

Speaking of republicans, is there a way for a political party to declare intellectual bankruptcy?

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Speaker Mike Johnson is a vile traitor to the House and the Constitution.

They punch you in the face and then start crying because their fist hurts.

There are no moderate republicans – only extremists and cowards.

He really is that stupid.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Let there be snark.

Dear media: perhaps we ought to let Donald Trump speak for himself!

Do not shrug your shoulders and accept the normalization of untruths.

The snowflake in chief appeared visibly frustrated when questioned by a reporter about egg prices.

The real work of an opposition party is to oppose.

I really should read my own blog.

On the Road is a weekday feature spotlighting reader photo submissions.

From the exotic to the familiar, whether you’re traveling or in your own backyard, we would love to see the world through your eyes.

Submit Your Photos

Good Morning All,

This weekday feature is for Juicers who are are on the road, traveling, or just want to share a little bit of their world via stories and pictures. So many of us rise each morning, eager for something beautiful, inspiring, amazing, subtle, of note, and our community delivers – a view into their world, whether they’re far away or close to home – pictures with a story, with context, with meaning, sometimes just beauty. By concentrating travel updates and tips here, it’s easier for all of us to keep up or find them later.

So please, speak up and share some of your adventures and travel news here, and submit your pictures using our speedy, secure form. You can submit up to 7 pictures at a time, with an overall description and one for each picture.

You can, of course, send an email with pictures if the form gives you trouble, or if you are trying to submit something special, like a zipped archive or a movie. If your pictures are already hosted online, then please email the links with your descriptions.

For each picture, it’s best to provide your commenter screenname, description, where it was taken, and date. It’s tough to keep everyone’s email address and screenname straight, so don’t assume that I remember it “from last time”. More and more, the first photo before the fold will be from a commenter, so making it easy to locate the screenname when I’ve found a compelling photo is crucial.

Have a wonderful day, and enjoy the pictures!

A quick one for today – sorry Bill, the pictures made it but the text didn’t so it’s a misfire. I can retrieve it – tomorrow. I’ll get it all together Wednesday morning, so everyone prepare for the return of the master – these are just phenomenal!

For now, let’s keep this key mistermix insight in mind each and every day until election day:

Today, pictures from valued commenter Infamous Heel-Filcher.

Thank you so much Infamous Heel-Filcher, do send us more when you can.

Travel safely everybody, and do share some stories in the comments, even if you’re joining the conversation late. Many folks confide that they go back and read old threads, one reason these are available on the Quick Links menu.

One again, to submit pictures: Use the Form or Send an Email

@Amir Khalid: Remind me what you and The Girl are working on? Was it a Springsteen song?

I am not on the road and my backyard is full of workman’s refuse from two dying porches. But I am excited to report that I have an interview for a fellowship and I am very excited! it eould be for two years so I could work and get the hours needed for my license.

I think there’s also some room for giddiness. Give yourself permission.
