I’ve posted this as comment 95:
I’m very sorry for jumping all over your shit in my response at comment 78. I should have just explained why, after reviewing the literature on it, I understand the current dynamic as the informal Hastert Rule, which I did once I calmed down in comment 87. I’m not going to delete my comment, since I don’t want to gaslight anyone, but I did want to take a moment and apologize for letting you have it with both barrels. It was unnecessary, no matter how frustrated your comment made me, you didn’t deserve it, and I’m sorry that I subjected you to it. I’ll endeavor to do better in the future.
ETA: the “un” to unnecessary. Apparently I can’t even apologize correctly anymore…
I’m going to bed before I cause any more damage.

Hasn’t been Adam’s best weekend.
;)
Stay coherent!

Adam, I really enjoyed the Canadian WW2 posters link. More of this, please. You historical insight is much appreciated.

Well, this is a relief. England and Wales’ new ban on upskirting applies to men in kilts as well.
I was in Scotland in 2011 and wore my kilt on two occasions. I just thought no one was interested.

Damn, I missed several threads of drama?

This is the Yorktown Heights (very nice area) home @Ocasio2018 grew up in before going off to Ivy League Brown University.
A far cry from the Bronx hood upbringing she’s selling. pic.twitter.com/xyOtZzVJII

“Hey John,” Ocasio-Cortez replied. “I didn’t go to Brown or the Ivy League. I went to BU. Try Google.”
3. Your attempt to strip me of my family, my story, my home, and my identity is exemplary of how scared you are of the power of all four of those things.

God love her, she’s so “uncivil” ?

I had actually checked out for real life (dinner, rabbit, phone calls, laundry, teenage son, etc.) and never even saw you go ballistic. Don’t worry, I have very thick skin.
P.S. Just to be paranoid, because I *have* been embarrassingly wrong in the past, I looked up the Medicare Part D roll call before I posted.
Fair Economist
(reads comment in question) Wait, *that* was what you thought merited a big apology? That is nothing by internet standards.

Someone said something wrong somewhere on the internet, and I must, simply must decisively correct that idiocy with a very very long post before I can go to bed, even if it takes me until 5am the day after tomorrow.

@Fair Economist: I suppose Adam has higher standards.

@MagdaInBlack: Yes, I saw a hit piece against Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Zero Hedge this weekend. They are clearly scared of her.
