Tony Evers is running against Scott Walker. Fuck Scott Walker. What more can I say?
Top billing. I can run this one as long as you want with whatever goal you want, because giving here might feel a lot like retail therapy. And this one’s super important, since the governor has a say over the new Congressional and state legislature districts.

First thought was, ‘what did the moron do now?’. Yes, fuck him with a rusty farm implement. And of course, in the land of every Republican statement is a confession, the attack ads against Evers are denouncing the failing state education system. The same system the Republican controlled legislature defunded to bring about that outcome. Fuck every last whoreson of them.

As long as we’re at it, fuck Snyder and the Michigan GOP, fuck Trump, and fuck Putin and Russia.

Just donated. This article went down well with my coffee this A.M. https://www.politico.com/story/2018/09/10/scott-walker-reelection-wisconsin-governor-813442 I am one of the people they describe in rural WI that still is 100% behind Walker. Not today, motherfucker. The Dems of WI have been trying to target those uber-red areas for the 1st time in well over a decade and get grassroots movements going. Well, they found me and I’ve been canvassing. It’s not a whole lot of fun canvassing in such a red area, one that has very old data so one is more likely to knock on the door of a repug, but it’s going to hurt the R vote where it counts. One super helpful point: NO ONE likes the Foxconn scam.

I am always down with “Fuck Scott Walker”. Always.
Smedley Darlington Prunebanks (formerly Mumphrey, et al.)
I somehow first misread the header as “Fun Scott Walker”. That didn’t make a whole lot of sense. Scott Walker may be a lot of things, but somehow “fun” doesn’t strike me as one of them.

@Jude: Good for you. Hoping for the best, and I like hearing about the Dems aggressiveness.

You forgot the rusty chainsaw.

On Friday night where I was online reading that Trump had died of a massive heart attack.
And then I woke up.
It was the first time I’ve had a good dream in 22 months.

No thank you! I don’t want the Koch Brothers’ sloppy seconds.

Something may be happening to the mobile version of the site, I can’t even get to the webpage from my phone. This is also the slowest commenting period I can remember, so there may be technical reasons!

@Jude: Thanks for getting out there. What part of the state are you in?

@Paul W.:
It’s not just the mobile version. I can get to the site using Chrome but not Firefox. Betty tweeted that there’s a problem with the hosting provider:

@Roger Moore: I couldn’t get on using Chrome OR Firefox, cleared my cache, restarted computer, etc. I was losing my mind! Phew!

@Roger Moore: Hah! There’s an ad on the sidebar that says “Hosting Matters” yes, yes it does.

Might try to see what kkind of feel I get about what’s happening in Wisconsin when I go to Milwaukee in late October. Could be an entertaining trip.
Omnes Omnibus
@Yutsano: I not sure how good a picture of the state you will get from a visit to Milwaukee. The last electoral map I saw of the city showed that its most R ward was 55-45 D.

@TenguPhule:
I would allow for a wide variety of implements and not tie the wielder with having to use the traditional chainsaw. Let us allow for some creativity. Since it is Wisconsin, maybe a rancid cheese instead.
MikefromDublin
Reince Priebus is mostly responsible for the mess Republicans have made up there.

OK, I’m in on the Fuck Scott Walker Fund.
Since I was being generous, I also hit up these candidates”
Major M J Hagar (ret) running for congress in TX
Lt. Col Amy McGrath (ret) running for congress in KY
Major Richard Ojeda (ret) Airborne running for congress in WV
Xochitl Torres Small running for congress in NM
Beto O’Rourke running for Senate in TX
I just noticed several of these folks are former military, but none are ex-Navy — shame on me. But I think they are all good people.

But what will Democrats stand for if we’re only against things?… Said no one worth listening to ever.

@Yutsano<hahaha nice

I am a long-time lurker, I just wanted to say that this post motivated me to give $50 to Evers. Would love to get that turd Walker out of office.

I live in a bubble in Madison, but was happy to see Tammy Baldwin signs all over Door County. I was also recently in Whitewater and Ft. Atkinson and saw more signs for Tammy Baldwin and Tony Evers than I did for Leah or Walker. My friend there, a professor, said that a lot of people about the problems Walker created for schools, teachers. She also pointed out that there are 18,000 soybean farmers in Wisconsin. They won’t have customers for their harvest and don’t want a buyout.

Would you be willing to promote my campaign in this series as well? I’m a candidate for State Treasurer of South Dakota who is also a loyal Balloon Juice reader. Candidates for Congress and Governor need to start somewhere. Thanks for the consideration!

Tony Evers is a good guy and would be a fine Gov. The rural outreach the DPW is FINALLY doing will hopefully help. I’m also hopeful that Mandela Barnes will be able to turn out the vote in MKE; met him 4 years ago when I was running a race in WI and you could see the star power there immediately.
If I’m the DGA, I hammer Walker on Foxconn daily and finish with “we don’t need more scott walker”.
Doug!
@Jimmm:
Thanks, I love that song.
