Just a reminder for the mountain and pacific time folks, Hillary and Chelsea are on Colbert tonight. He usually has youtube up of his interviews the next day if you miss it and want to watch.

Sort of sums up current national security.

Kamala’s sister. Had no idea. She’s funny as hell.

Remind’s me a bit if the Bad Blood episode of X Files when a Winnabego with a cadaver was spinning circles in an RV park.
Smedley Darlington Prunebanks (formerly Mumphrey, et al.)
They left the president without anybody watching him today, didn’t they?

The only difference is you feel bad for the vehicle when it toppled over.
??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??
@West of the Rockies:
Speaking of the X-Files, it should have totally had a meta episode where Mulder and Scully swap places with their actors. I love when shows do that kind of plot
??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??
@Smedley Darlington Prunebanks (formerly Mumphrey, et al.):
Whoever said on BJ there aren’t any more “adults” in the room to mind Trump was right. That was part of the reason why the dumb self-demaging shit that’s coming out now is coming out. Frankenstein’s monster is now free
mrmoshpotato
@TaMara (HFG): Also, sometimes full interviews are uploaded, so the 15-18 minutes that aired might have been condensed.

Ghost Ride the Whip…
Seriously… like, did a wheel or an axle get stuck and the driver just nope out?

Going on record that crazy stuff like this at O’Hare is rare.

@??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??:
That would have been fun. Remember when Jerry and Kramer briefly swapped personalities after exchanging apartments?
??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??
@BlueDWarrior:
Is it bad that I wanted to see it hit the plane just to see what would happen? ‘^^
I used to reenact action movies with my toys when I was a kid and man did I destroy the hell out of cars and planes

I WILL NOT BE IGNORED!
??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??
@West of the Rockies:
I haven’t watched much Seinfeld, but that sounds hilarious! I’ll have to watch that episode
@Mary G:
No kidding. It comes across so whiny and needy. In fact, it’s so whiny and needy, I could believe Trump wrote it himself
FlipYrWhig
@West of the Rockies: @??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??: There’s a great execution of that premise on the old Monkees show, where Frank Zappa and Mike Nesmith appear as one another.

Maya Harris is a professional Dem strategist, and Kamala’s campaign manager, and sounding board, and political adviser. Center For American Progress. Ford Foundation. ACLU.

She’s one of the best things about Kamala Harris.

Robert Plant is playing in Bend on Thursday, and I’m tempted to go over there to here him play. I’ve never heard him. (I was a kid in the Led Zeppelin days and also I didn’t like them cuz they were “druggies”) Trying to see if it is worth driving 6 hours there, watch the show, get a hotel room and drive back or not.
Jim, Foolish Literalist
@Mary G: I got one of those strings of emails from the Dems today, the candidate I’ve already forgotten, Paul Begala, James Carville, and finally Nancy Pelosi: “Dear Jim, candidate emailed you, James Carville emailed you..”
Just made me wonder what kind of lists I”m on, and if they assumed I’d respond to the old Clinton names because of my age. They are wrong. I hate Carville
trollhattan
@cain:
Go. He’s a pro’s pro and you’ll know “I saw Robert Plant.”

I had a glow-in-the-dark hunchback of Notre Dame that was super creepy.

I think there could easily be a Top 10 Best Things About Kamala Harris article.
JoeyJoeJoe
@??? Goku (aka Amerikan Baka) ??: it revolves around a Kenny Rogers that opens up next to the building, season 5 I think

@trollhattan:
Thanks for weighing in, I will seriously consider it. I’m not working so I gotta make sure that I don’t overly spend stuff on things like this. But this clip – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ye7-dUWKWyo#action=share was seriously amazing.

@West of the Rockies: I missed out on those cool toys, alas.

There was a two-parter where Mulder swapped bodies with a Man in Black from Area 51. There is a hilarious hommage to a classic Marx Brothers mirror gag, performed by Duchovny and Michael McKean of Spinal Tap; and Mulder picking his way through the Man in Black’s collapsing marriage while the MiB tries to seduce Scully.

@Amir Khalid:
Written by the future creator of “Breaking Bad,” Vince Gilligan.

@cain:
Go see him. He’s been doing a lot of interesting things in recent decades.

@cain: Like seeing The Jimi Hendrix Experience without, you know, the guitarist.
eclare
@cain: I saw him on tour with Allison Krauss, great show.

Cheers fellow jackals. I drink to the downfall of the House Trump!
I once read that when Nixon resigned, liquor stores had lines around the block. Maybe it was a movie, I don’t know. But I now understand why. I’ll be right there with the rest of you.

@Amir Khalid:
I’ve been listening to some stuff from him and it has always been high energy.. really great stuff. OK, I’ll figure out how much it costs.
BTW y’all not only is it Rosh Hashanah it’s also Navaratri – basically we Indians celebrate the triumph of Good vs Evil. It’s about 9 days of festivities. You might consider it a great way to celebrate impeachment hearings!
Amir Khalid
@oatler.:
No, not like that at all. Robert Plant is far from limited to his Led Zeppelin repertoire. He has ventured into traditional Americana and doo-wop and R&B among many other things.

@Sebastian:
I have a good bottle of champagne waiting for the appropriate moment. We try to keep some less expensive sparkling like $16 Cava or Prosecco, in the fridge for nice meals, when I have the energy to build something tasty on birthdays or anniversiaries. But just real good Champagne for presidential deaths…

Another musician I have come to appreciate is Lucinda Williams, who is a Texas chanteuse type, but with a unique style of wailing or moaning her singing. She is on Mountain Stage from time to time and is really, really good. Not nose in air with other locals on the show, just another act on the show, no condescending or arrogance is what I’m saying. But really good roots of country music.
OzarkHillbilly
@J R in WV: Lucinda is wonderful. Or seeing as I’ve never seen her, her stuff is wonderful.

3:48 AM and I’ve already got my word for the day:
Iniquitous-
grossly unfair and morally wrong.
Why does that word put me in mind of trump?

Sounds great! I can always use a holiday like that.
I could do nine days of actual festivities. Definitions count :)

Very catty piece on Melania but it does ask a question:
“Which brings me to my point, which I am going to present very, very delicately.
There’s a decade she can’t account for.
There’s are nude pictures featuring implants which, besides being shoddy work, make her too big for top-level fashion modeling.”

@J R in WV: @OzarkHillbilly: Lucinda was the last live music act I saw, with the lead guitarist from the Wallflowers. It was great.
Quinerly
@J R in WV: Lucinda gives good concert/show.

@Al Z.:
Yes, I saw you posted that last night — hilarious!

@cain: it is indeed worth it. He is touring with an incredibly tight set that includes a handful of Led Zepplin tunes. I’m seeing him Saturday at Hardly, Strictly Bluegrass.
Miss Bianca
@West of the Rockies: those things gave me nightmares. Worst was Phantom of the Opera.
