Yesterday stewed two chickens from Amish country. Today plan to get chicken out of the rich broth, and make chicken tonkatsu vegetable soup, using packets of condensed ramen tonkatsu broth I buy on Amazon that comes from Japan. It is really great stuff. Those Amish chickens, by the way, are the most delicious, healthy chickens you can get. We buy them at our local co-op, which focuses on healthy and local products.

I have no use for avocados, but otherwise, well done.

Not only are you a creative cook (oblano chicken stock, indeed!). but a food stylist as well. That’s a pretty bowl of soup.

@Brantl: Love avocados. But in a hot soup? Shudder.

@HeartlandLiberal:
Link for the tonkatsu broth? That’s something I would be interested in.

Still kinda wondering where you got a cheap ham hock from. Around here (granted, South Florida) they are 5 bucks a pound.
