Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

I am pretty sure these ‘journalists’ were not always such a bootlicking sycophants.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

GOP baffled that ‘we don’t care if you die’ is not a winning slogan.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

Stamping your little feets and demanding that they see how important you are? Not working anymore.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

We still have time to mess this up!

After dobbs, women are no longer free.

Stand up, dammit!

T R E 4 5 O N

Republicans in disarray!

How stupid are these people?

Jack Smith: “Why did you start campaigning in the middle of my investigation?!”

He really is that stupid.

Seems like a complicated subject, have you tried yelling at it?

It’s all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership.

Someone should tell Republicans that violence is the last refuge of the incompetent, or possibly the first.

It is not hopeless, and we are not helpless.

If you thought you’d already seen people saying the stupidest things possible on the internet, prepare yourselves.

These are not very smart people, and things got out of hand.

One way or another, he’s a liar.

Perhaps you mistook them for somebody who gives a damn.

Fight them, without becoming them!

Decision time: keep arguing about the last election, or try to win the next one?

Let’s win this!

The House is 100% "within the margin of effort." Great way to put it! https://t.co/cltuPmEDrb

We have MET the $1,000 Match for Barry’s WORKER POWER Angel Match!

Up to $50 per person will be matched by Barry – if you post your match and amount in the comments. Even if you were matched yesterday by Almost Retired, this is a new match so you are eligible for this one, too.

With our fundraising yesterday, we sent the equivalent of 2.5 people to work in AZ for a week!  Can we do it again?

Also, if anyone is retired or temporarily out of work or on vacation – and you want to go to AZ for a week or more – we could send you!  You get one day of training and 6 days of work, with travel and lodging covered unless you want to cover the cost yourself!

In for 25, thanks for this!

of relevance to some others: found out from credit union i’m limited to 20 transactions per day. Problem: for the 22 downballot swing state candidates, they count each candidate as a separate transaction.

I did the remaining transactions today to get me to the 330 i had originally intended.

slowly realizing i can’t use the card again today, and looking at the time, how long i spent prying this info from the credit union.

The downballot candidates include 6 Arizona candidates:

Here’s a story about one of them:

When her classroom ceiling collapsed, Laura Terech shielded her kindergartners; then she decided to run for AZ House to address the poor funding for Arizona’s schools. Toss-up district for state house, state senate, US House (AZ-01 D Jevin Hodge) and Maricopa County Attorney and all the state-wide races: US Senate, Gov, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Corporation Commission, Treasurer, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Mine Inspector.

I’m in the middle of moving and can’t really afford to give $$$. However, I’m out every weekend knocking on doors for the Dems here in PA. It’s all I can do this year—so that’s what I’m doing.

@BlueGuitarist: That’s good to know.  I thought maybe it was a fluke when paying with ApplePay.

Next time I promote the down-ballot thermometer, I will ask people to just pick one or two people from the list and donate to them.

edit: I put a note to that effect on the thermometer link in the sidebar.
