Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Jesus, Mary, & Joseph how is that election even close?

When you’re in more danger from the IDF than from Russian shelling, that’s really bad.

Anyone who bans teaching American history has no right to shape America’s future.

Come on, man.

This fight is for everything.

Not so fun when the rabbit gets the gun, is it?

The only way through is to slog through the muck one step at at time.

The republican caucus is covering themselves with something, and it is not glory.

You come for women, you’re gonna get your ass kicked.

How any woman could possibly vote for this smug smarmy piece of misogynistic crap is beyond understanding.

If a good thing happens for a bad reason, it’s still a good thing.

Shallow, uninformed, and lacking identity

Teach a man to fish, and he’ll sit in a boat all day drinking beer.

Roe is not about choice. It is about freedom.

Hot air and ill-informed banter

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

There are a lot more evil idiots than evil geniuses.

75% of people clapping liked the show!

I don’t recall signing up for living in a dystopian sci-fi novel.

Welcome to day five of every-bit-as-bad-as-you-thought-it-would-be.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

A tremendous foreign policy asset… to all of our adversaries.

Stay strong, because they are weak.

Hope you're enjoying our second holiday in less than a month that celebrates the birth of a dark-skinned peace advocate who constantly criticized the excesses of the rich.

Dean Phillips decides MLK Day is the best time to do a Spaces with the guy who bought Twitter so he could unban every white supremacist who ever used this site. https://t.co/hQln8yCmlx

In the interests of completion, shouldn’t we also learn what Marianne Williamson is up to today?

Just kidding. Even by Democratic vanity candidate standards, nobody cares.

Shouldn’t Dean Philips be in Iowa railing against The Democratic Establishment and their suppression of Iowans’ God-given right to have personal conversations with each and every Presidential candidate?  Or is it too cold there for him? Or maybe he just doesn’t like deep-fried corn.

Pentagon issues official statement denying Taylor Swift is part of the deep state.

“As for this conspiracy theory, we are going to shake it off,” [Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singhshe] said, a tongue-in-cheek reference to one of the pop star’s hits.

“But that does highlight that we still need Congress to approve our supplemental budget request as Swift-ly as possible so we can be out of the woods with potential fiscal concerns,” she continued, adding more references to Swift hits.

One of my friends got deeply into Marianne Williamson and “A Course in Miracles” in the 90s. It was insufferable nonsense. We drifted apart. I couldn’t deal with the silliness of “if you believe it, it will happen.” I watched him believe it. I watched it not happen. She’s always been selling a con.

@The Kropenhagen Interpretation: Fwiw the main Williamson bit I have appreciated is what got circulated falsely (not by her) as a quote from Nelson Mandela:

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people will not feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone and as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

I’ve never been interested in the rest, but someone forwarded me that & I appreciated it.

RFK Jr claims his father & uncle didn’t really want the FBI to do those terrible things, they were just setting things up to give them an excuse to break the agency during a second term…

Considering RFK Jr. was 9 when his uncle’s presidency ended, I’m not sure he exactly had inside information the MLK/FBI controversy. But if he’s arguing that his Dad and Uncle were setting the whole thing up as a gotcha to take down the FBI, that sounds worse to me.

Sort of like Trump using Betsy Devos to “prove” public education is a failure and Louis Dejoy to show that the Post Office is incapable of delivering the mail.

There is probably one correct idea here.  RFK and JFK were fearful about Hoover blackmail, so let him do what he wanted re MLK.
