John Hawkins has his 2003 Warblogger Awards up, and once again, it was a clean sweep for Balloon Juice.
Nothing.
Zip.
Nada.
Zilch.
I did get five votes for Best Overall Blog, tying me for 14th place, so I would like to thank mom, dad, and my brother and sisters for those votes (*** Update *** This was just a joke- or supposed to be I really appreciate the fat that that many people voted for me, and I am actually quite surprised).
In other end of the year award news, Little Green Footballs is accepting nominations for the 2003 Fiskie:
Speaking of awards, it
John Hawkins
You tied for 14th in the most important category. That’s actually pretty impressive…
John Cole
I was just kidding- I really appreciate all those who voted for me.

If it’s any consolation John, you’re number 9 on my daily, must-read list, edged out by (in order): Calpundit, TPM, Kos, RealClearPolitics, Sullivan, TAPPED, Atrios, and Reynolds.
Pretty good company, really.
Don’t often agree with you, but that’s the point.
Cheers.
Belhaven
John, you are in very good company on that list. Congratulations.
John Cole
Wll, James. IN my humble opinion, you should have Matt stinson and Dean Esmay on that list, too. All of you should.
Remove Kos and Tapped, insert those two, and you have my list of first reads.
James W
I’ll add ’em to the (ever-expanding, watch out for the boss) list.
Cheers again.
Andrew Lazarus
John, according to the title of the page, that’s a WARblogger award, not WEBlogger. (Although there were two left-of-center categories.)
John Cole
Andrew- I corrected it. I never really thought of myself as a warbogger, though.
Slartibartfast
Yeah, but Warblogger Watch did.
What’s going to happen now, is you’ll get an increase in exceedingly verbose (yet curiously fact-deficient) posts from Philip Shropshire. Now that you’re back in the limelight, I mean.
