We are using the same  system as last year. 

It’s a 4-step process, start to finish.  (for you)

  1. Start the process by sending an email message
  2. Use the link we supply to upload your files
  3. Check for your nym and names of your pets in the spreadsheet we’ll post later on BJ
  4. Notify us if anything is incorrect

To start the process, simply send email to pet-calendar or to watergirl.  If you need more info about the exact email addresses, check out Contact Us in the white bar up top, for details.

Your message should include:

  1. your nym
  2. the names of all your pets that are going to be in the calendar

…..

Details will be sent to you by email once you send the email with your nym and pet names.

We have zero pet names for the calendar so far!

…..

Calendars will be available to order by December 1.

Beth needs time to work with the pics on the design, so fair warning: we are going to have to be firm about deadlines in order to have the calendars available to order by December 1.

Please let us know ASAP that you plan to send photos in, and the names of your pets.  Even without all the pictures, knowing how many entries there will be allows Beth to get started on the design!

The we-really-mean-it-last-date for submitting your pictures is Nov 1.  For real.

Oh, and all calendar posts are Open Threads.

    Both of our cats have featured in past calendars and god knows they don’t need the ego boost, but we have a highly charismatic tortoise.

    And I promise, swear to God, (or Dog, if you prefer) that I will get that update on Wet Mountain Animal Welfare to WaterGirl ASAP. It’s just that between the theater and my sister and my COVID scare it has been like a fire hose of liquid shit chez Mountain Hacienda here.

    @geg6: I had just announced that folks should start going through their pics and deciding.  That way you guys would be ready once we were ready with the submission link.

    I did get the ones you sent, but if you don’t mind using the link, that would be simplest for me.  Let me know what you decide.

    I think Ripley the Wonder Dog is losing her two front canines this week.  They’ve been broken for years and as she’s getting older the vet is concerned about her dental health.  We scheduled her cleaning/extraction, ran blood tests and then her ALP and ALT came back kinda high (for her) so more tests had to be done to make sure her liver can handle the anesthesia.  Tests came back fine, so she’s all systems go and the vet said we’ll just check in on her liver numbers at next year’s check up.  Upon googling, I discovered dental disease can raise the ALP numbers, so I’m hoping the $$$$$ (boy oh boy, teeth ain’t cheap, whether dog or human) we’re spending on her mouth will fix that, too.

    @Alison Rose: I will have to ask Beth if she can handle HEIC.  I noticed .png was not on the list from last, so I am asking her about that, too.

    Sweet girl!  I am assuming she is a girl because she looks like my Miss Willow.

    It started when I got them and called them “Miss Girl” and “Mr. Boy” (siblings and I hadn’t named them yet!)

    So they are Miss Willow and Mr. Bear.
