The cable networks are reporting that WV native PFC Jessica Lynch, a POW in the conflict in Iraq, has been rescued. Hallelujah. West Virginians are a tough lot- and I am thrilled she is back in coalition hands. The Hillbilly Sophisticate has some comments about Jessica’s return, as well.
I guess this means Kos will have to ‘honor’ someone else in his disgusting, self-serving, shameless, display of anti-war agitprop. Sure, Kos- you are just honoring our fallen heroes.
I don’t care what you think about his politics, I think it is pretty damn cool that Gary Hart has a weblog. HE should have named it the ‘Monkey Business,’ so then we wouldn’t even have to deal with the issue when some arsehole reporter tries to make a big deal of it- that story just isn’t going to have legs in the post-Clinton world, but you know some jerk will bring it up.

But this fight is far from over. The White House proved it will say anything to pass its enormous tax scheme, even using the military conflict in Iraq to find an advantage.

Not only is this a shameful political exploitation of the men and women who are putting their lives in danger, but it’s also misleading.
Under a 1994 law passed by the Democratic Congress and President Clinton, employers must reinstate reservists who return from active service.
Yawn. A pox on Ari Fleischer for stupid remarks (although in the abstract, accurate), a pox on the DNC for trying to get mileage out of this.
