Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

The media handbook says “controversial” is the most negative description that can be used for a Republican.

Take hopelessness and turn it into resilience.

How stupid are these people?

JFC, are there no editors left at that goddamn rag?

Tick tock motherfuckers!

This has so much WTF written all over it that it is hard to comprehend.

Second rate reporter says what?

Everything is totally normal and fine!!!

This chaos was totally avoidable.

Bark louder, little dog.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

I desperately hope that, yet again, i am wrong.

Disappointing to see gov. newsom with his finger to the wind.

She burned that motherfucker down, and I am so here for it. Thank you, Caroline Kennedy.

Hot air and ill-informed banter

They think we are photo bombing their nice little lives.

Their shamelessness is their super power.

Everybody saw this coming.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

He wakes up lying, and he lies all day.

GOP baffled that ‘we don’t care if you die’ is not a winning slogan.

There are no moderate republicans – only extremists and cowards.

Text STOP to opt out of updates on war plans.

“Loving your country does not mean lying about its history.”

This is my favorite cat-on-treadmill video ever. This cat has obviously been reading Gandhi.

Later that night, after this video was uploaded, that cat killed them both in their sleep.

kittens! I love cats. I can see one of my three doing that. The other one would run and hide and the third would just bitch about it.

Lazy cat was funny, but I still have a soft spot for November. (And yes, I have posted this here before.)

I’m in a cat depression funk these days, I’m afraid. I had a 15 year old cat die of a stroke on the way to the vet 2 weeks ago, and the following week a snagged claw on another turned into a leukemia diagnosis that likely means a 2-4 year life span for him and the other 3 I have left.
With that, I cannot emphasize enough the importance to keep your kitties indoors (cat leukemia is apparently some kind of super-AIDS that spreads via waterdishes and grooming) or vaccinated if you want to take the risk associated with the side effects.

Aww! My favorite animal kingdom expression is the “ears flipped back in annoyance” of housecats.

Sorry to hear about your friens, Keith (

A video with true crossover appeal — something both cat lovers and stoners can appreciate. Er, so the stoners tell me.

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is rough. One of my cats died very young from it, but the other is going strong after 4 years. You have to be very careful with other illnesses because FeLV cats are very immuno-compromised. For example, corticosteroids are a no-no, so we had to treat some of my cat’s breathing problems with bronchiodialators alone. But FeLV cats can live happily for a long time.
