Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Republicans: slavery is when you own me. freedom is when I own you.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Mission Accomplished, Michelle!

Remember when this was the great hope for the teahadists:

According to a tweet from NBC News’ Jamie Novogrod, Bachmann responded to the recent raiding of the British embassy in Iran, by saying that if she was President, she would close down the U.S. embassy there.

There’s just one problem: The U.S. has not had an embassy in Iran ever since the Iranian hostage crisis, when revolutionaries from the budding Islamic state held 52 Americans for 444 days.

Clowns.

I am sure that she was referring to the super secret embassy that our Kenyan Muslim overlord was instructed to set up by George Soros.

In related news, Marcus Bachmann says the Iranians are barbarians who need to be “disciplined”.

Wait just minute, yer on to something here.

Is there a way to convince him to go to Iran and set up a branch of his gay-curing thing there, except to convert the barbarian mooslim infidels to Christianity?

Cuz that would totally Rock all kinds of Casbahs.

I’m sure she meant the Foreign Interests Section at the Swiss Embassy in Tehran (http://www.eda.admin.ch/eda/en/home/reps/asia/virn/fosteh.html). Because, after all, people spent a week singing her praises because she gave one coherent answer to a question about Pakistan.

Well, I look at this way. This eveing I was watching Jay Carney on Lawrence O’Donnell’s ‘Last Word.’ For some reason I kept thinking to myself that his previous counter part under the Bush “administration” former Press Secretary Dana Perrino had to admit in a live press conference she had no knowledge of the Cuban missile crisis. I was thinking I was corforted by the fact I was sure Jay Carney knew. What a fucking bar we have on competence….

This is all Jimmy Carter’s fault!

If Jimmy Carter hadn’t closed the embassy 31 years ago, then Michele Bachmann could close it now! When she becomes president!

DARN YOU, JIMMY CARTER!!!! Now everyone is laughing at us, since the only extreme and disproportinate gesture we can make is closing a THEORETICAL embassy!

[Remember … Bachmann is on the House of Reps intelligence committee. So it is scary that she appears not to know the implications of not having diplomatic relations with Iran – you know, things like having no embassy, and having no ambassador – or that this sounded good for the TV cameras, and she doesn’t care.]
