We should all do so if we feel the paper practices good journalism. Reward those who should be rewarded.

to be fair, I’m not even nervous about this. if he goes personal, she’ll eviscerate him. If he pivots to policy, she’ll castrate him. The questions acatually (at the last glance, from the public don’t look as bad as I feared) look like they’re mostly in her wheelhouse for a change versus the media using the pre-approved GOP framing.

Just read that Clinton SuperPac backer David Brock is offering to pay any fine for leaked Apprentice tapes – oh, how I hope that is true and all that stands between us and that tsunami of Trump footage.
The whole walking through beauty pageant contests dressing rooms while they were naked was so disgusting… depraved, sexual predator who needs to lose everything, not just the election.
Lizzy L
@piratedan: The only thing I’ve seen about the questions for tonight is something from CNN stating that the first question is going to be about the Trump tape, that Clinton is going to be asked to speak first, and that Guiliani has said that if asked about the tape,
Do you have actual information about the debate questions? From where?

Trump still appears to be basing his debate strategy on an erroneous high risk high reward model. Essentially he’s thinking that if he stands on the bomb and pushes the button there is a high probability chance that he will be blown to pieces, so that must mean there is a low probability chance that he will be catapulted into heaven. No… no there isn’t.
He’s going to stand on stage and talk about Bill Clinton’s dick while the national teevee audience goes, “Ewwww,” and Hillary Clinton follows that up by actually answering policy questions. There’s just no upside for Trump in this dynamic.

“I think the biggest electoral hazard to Republicans right now is Trump fans who withhold support downballot.”
From where I sit, the GOP’s choice is does it want to die this Nov in the frying pan, or in the fire? And, given, that, I think the smart thing would be for PENCE to drop out with the GOP’s blessing, as the latter outfit cuts off every tie to Trump as it possibly can, stat.
I don’t see how the GOP reclaims the moderates that have left the fold if it comes that the GOP stayed with a barely-closeted white nationalist right through the very bitter end. But if it cuts Trump completely and runs, the resulting electoral harakiri notwithstanding, such a proclamation (though still craven) could re-capture minds (if not hearts), and show that it really does put country above party. (Meantime, they can chase the female and minority vote like a temporarily-panicked abusive boyfriend with sweet promises, only less credibly.)
The plan as I see it also calls for Magical Ponies crapping minty-fresh Tic Tacs, so there might be some details to iron out.

I took a look at the questions, thanks to piratedan. The first two questions are about guns. The third question is about immigration. The fourth question is about climate change. The fifth question is about funding for public health.
That’s not bad, and I think it’s probably a fair representation of some of the issues people in this country are concerned about. If these questions, or others like them, were actually asked, and if Hillary Clinton were the only person responding, we might even learn something about the policies of the candidates.

Very glad to see two climate change/green energy questions among the top ten (#4 and #10 when I checked). Those are topics that have been sadly ignored, for the most part, in previous debates and town halls. (ETA: By “top ten,” I sorted from most votes to least. Should have made that more clear.)
I think Hillary is much better equipped to show the connective tissue between climate change, energy, infrastructure, jobs and the economy, and education (and so may other things I haven’t listed). She understands that all the big issues are linked, and that choices in any one area necessarily affect choices and outcomes in all the others.
