Scout has cousins and one of them needs an assist. From Carrie, who is the person to Scout’s cousin Luna:
My brother is in need of some help. He’s in the middle of a nasty divorce and their poor dog is stuck in the middle of it. She’s a 10 year old Husky with a sweet temperament. I don’t believe she’s been around cats, but she has been around dogs with no problems. If anyone happens to know of someone looking for a new furry family member, can you PM me? Her name is Meeca.
Meeca lives near me, so if you are in Colorado or nearby, we can probably easily arrange a meet and/or transport. Please email me at whats4dinnersolutions (at) live (dot) com and I’ll put you in touch with Carrie. Let’s see if we can’t get Meeca the home she deserves.

Wow, what a beautiful doggo. I am not able to adopt, but as usual will chip in to help with transportation costs if needed.

What a beautiful girl! Like @Mary G: I’m in for transport costs if needed.

I have to tell you, my heart just kind of breaks for her. I foster (failed) two dane brothers from a divorce situation…and then they gallantly went through my divorce with me. Loved those dogs, I did my best to keep them, but it was tough and I was sorry I had to put them through more upheaval. But I couldn’t have done it without them.
Scamp Dog
How far away is Meeca? I miss having a dog, and it’s been nearly a year since Biscuit had that last visit with the vet. Is she crate trained?
Mary G
@TaMara (HFG): I went to law school and did very well the first year, and that summer took a job with a divorce attorney. It convinced me I did not want to be a lawyer. The shit that people put their children and animals through was unbelievable.
TaMara (HFG)
@Scamp Dog: Fredrick (we could do a Longmont meet and greet – and maybe you could meet Bixby and Scout, too).
I don’t know if she’s crate trained, but I’ll ask. I’d bet at 10 years, she’d be fine “room crated” like I do with Bixby – he gets ONE room to roam. LOL Scout’s not there yet. At least since the windowsill incident.

Oh, she’s beautiful! Hope she finds her forever home quickly.

Gorgeous ?
Hope that Meeca finds a home.

Heart wrenching. Man I feel for ’em. That’s like giving up a kid. When I was in my early 20’s I had to give my dog to a friend for 2 months and I felt like a bad parent. Got him back once I landed on my feet. I hope for the best for everyone in this case.

Oh, how sad. Hope Meeca gets re-homed soon!

@kindness:
Had to give up ornery Bud the cocker in 2012 because I couldn’t keep him at my friends house who was letting me stay there. I miss that old bastard. Hardest thing I’ve ever done was put him on that plane. Amazed I didn’t just lay down on the ground and cry. Probably we were just two of a kind.
Meeca is a fine looking girl. Hope she finds a good home.

@TaMara (HFG):
I am retired now, and up for a road trip if Meeca (?) needs transportation.

We lost our big guy in December and have been considering another dog. We have a very mellow GR/ chow mix the same age as Mecca. But we are in SoCal. If things do not work out locally, let us know.

What gorgeous pupper. I’m in for something towards transport. Poor dog has enough upheaval going on, never mind her people. [When I divorced, after a 25 year marriage, the dogs were unequivocally mine, phew. Ex got the cat. He couldn’t manage to care for the lil guy, who was extremely social. My SIL came to the rescue and added him to her collection, thankfully.]

She’s beautiful! Whoever gets her will be lucky.

OMG, that face. I am in love. I so loved my Husky grandpuppies, who were both rescues, and sadly no longer with us, that if there weren’t many complications on my end, I would get in the car and start driving tomorrow. (It’s easy peasy: the 15 to I-70, only takes a couple of days) ;->
I’m def. in if transport costs need to be covered.
Kristine
I’ll also help out with transport costs.

OMG NOOOOOOOO
I would be on this like a dozen attorneys if I hadn’t decided Watson must stay. Because I *adore* Huskies. But D really, really doesn’t want more than two dogs around the house. : (
@Scamp Dog: Oh, Scamp, take her, please! And then next Colorado BJ meet-up should be at a dog park!
