Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Washington Post Catch and Kill, not noticeably better than the Enquirer’s.

The fight for our country is always worth it. ~Kamala Harris

Anne Laurie is a fucking hero in so many ways. ~ Betty Cracker

DeSantis transforming Florida into 1930s Germany with gators and theme parks.

The Supreme Court cannot be allowed to become the ultimate, unaccountable arbiter of everything.

It’s the corruption, stupid.

Never entrust democracy to any process that requires republicans to act in good faith.

I did not have this on my fuck 2025 bingo card.

The way to stop violence is to stop manufacturing the hatred that fuels it.

Many life forms that would benefit from greater intelligence, sadly, do not have it.

They are lying in pursuit of an agenda.

Every one of the “Roberts Six” lied to get on the court.

“Jesus paying for the sins of everyone is an insult to those who paid for their own sins.”

The lights are all blinking red.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Do not shrug your shoulders and accept the normalization of untruths.

There are consequences to being an arrogant, sullen prick.

Never give a known liar the benefit of the doubt.

Rupert, come get your orange boy, you petrified old dinosaur turd.

A snarling mass of vitriolic jackals

Trump’s cabinet: like a magic 8 ball that only gives wrong answers.

Republicans: “Abortion is murder but you can take a bus to get one.” Easy peasy.

It’s all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership.

No offense, but this thread hasn’t been about you for quite a while.

It’s magic, isn’t it? I’d ask, How does that even work? but I am pretty sure the answer involves chemistry and physics, and I was an art major.

    It’s water color.

I’ll let myself out and say hello to NotMax while I’m there.

You guys, I’m not doing a recipe post this week because Alain’s asked me to fill in again for a couple of days and I’ve got another guest post from WereBear this weekend. In case anyone was wondering where their food was this evening.

    @Leto:
Hey! I put myself in the penalty box with NotMax. What more could I do?
OK besides not make the obvious lame joke.
    But you are welcome!
Also I’m listening to a you tube music video that I like and while the music may not be to everyone’s taste the picture is pretty cool.

@Ruckus: Thanks, the reason it took a good portion of my day is that I put my camera bag on my tripod to steady it and it did the opposite. I had to throw away some shots(I’m using stacking here) and then align the rest. I’m happy with the result though.

My partner and I don’t eat octopus anymore because they’re so intelligent. But who knows? There’s a chance I’d make an exception here or there. This video makes it less likely I’d ever make an exception.
