13-year-old Sir Darius Brown's bow ties for dogs have helped around 200 dogs across the US get adopted faster. ❤️ @BBC pic.twitter.com/APTXzpQlu9

‘Choice fatigue’ is a very real problem at shelters. I can see how having that little extra marketing detail, where one of two dozen brown-and-white pit mixes becomes ‘that one with the sparkly bow tie’, might make all the difference…

In this day & age, it is great to see a fine young person doing something to help. I needed that spot of brightness in my news.

That’s a nice story. Good on you, Darius!

When it said “a US president” did anybody have any doubt about which one it was going to be?

That would be about the one thing the current occupant could do that would shock me. Returning to the happy spirit of the post,

IT bug: In the last week more and more embedded images, videos and tweets are disappearing from the rss feed. I have to click through my news feed (Feedbin) to open the full webpage and see what the front pagers are actually talking about.
There’s always been some limitations when viewing via the rss feed but now everything is gone. Before the only big issue was that items embedded in a tweet would not display properly. Video and animated gifs would not play, quoted tweets within tweets would not display, etc… That seemed fine since it was a Twitter-native issue. But now BJ’s own posts are failing to travel properly through the pipes.
