    @Baud: We don’t celebrate the holiday so it became our Xmas tradition to go see a place which on any other day would be crowded. I have found that I am not alone in thinking that.

    Now, with her current job (time and a half!) she works Xmas day and I spend it with the dogs looking to see what we might find.

    eta: also, please don’t tell my wife about my stable of girlfriends. she gets so jealous.

    Merry Christmas one and all from the Bomb Cyclone shelter. It will be a quiet one here, but the temp has gone up to a sultry 9°, so venturing out to feed the birbs will be less exciting than it’s been the last two days. I’m much better, but still not all the way well, so still staying in. Which is fine, my Christmas will coincide next week with my oldest son’s 40th birthday.

    Merry Christmas, Juicers. We are in a motel outside Louisville, having postponed the drive to Virginia by a day because of the weather. Saw a few remnants of what must have been horrific accidents on the side of the interstate as we drove. Seems fitting to be in transit this morning, since the nativity was the story of a family in transit.

    Santa brought our power back about 430. Been out since Fri with amazing winds and rain. I’m rather done with setting the timer to rise every couple hours and load the two stoves. We thought it would be cool to live in a 140 year old farmhouse in Western Maine. Merry everything you celebrate
