Just because I hadn’t gotten on the scoreboard yet.
He was interviewed by Glossynews just before he took down his twitter account, which he has subsequently restarted (@geotie2323):
Apparently Tbogg is actually Jennifer something:
GlossyNews.com – Are you actually planning legal action or have you decided yet?
George Tierney – Oh I’m going to have legal action, yeah. I’m planning legal action against tbogg, whoever tbogg is, and I think it’s a female. Let me go back here I’ll tell you exactly who tbogg is … Female name that came back was Jennifer something, yeah she’s going to get legal action against her because she’s the one that started all this crap against me.
It just goes downhill from there. Apparently, one can become the perfect Muslim by getting oneself thrown out of the “muslim church” and renaming oneself after a cheese company:
GlossyNews.com – I have not heard that.
George Tierney – Yep, it’s in the news. It’s also a fact that you can be a muslim and you can go to the top echelon and you can go to them and request Chakira [sp] where you can renounce your faith in front of God, man and everybody else in order to get what the muslims desire, and that’s what Barack Obama has done. He went to, he got thrown out of wherever he was born, he was born in Kenya, but his name was changed to George Sorrento and it was never changed back legally when he moved back to the United States. He grew up over in Kenya and a couple other places over there. I’ve got it all right in front of me, I can send it all to you if you want.
So I’d like to ask George Tierney, Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina, “dude, when are you going to close your Goddamn salad tosser?

Hey Juicers,
So, I’ve never done this before, but I figure there’s a first time for everything (and it’s an open thread).
North Dakota might be one of those red states, but for the first time in what seems like forever, the Democrats have a great candidate for governor- Ryan Taylor. While I understand that everyone has their own races they are interested in, particularly near home, I’d encourage any of you blue state Juicers with a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket to give Ryan a look. I know him personally, and am going to be giving until it hurts, because if there’s any place that needs an infusion of thoughtful leadership, it the blank spot in the nation’s consciousness known as North Dakota.
We’ve got to start somewhere in reclaiming the red parts of the map, and electing a great guy like Ryan would be a great foundation.
Ryan just released his first campaign ad, and anything you kind people could pitch his way will help us make sure he doesn’t get swamped by the other side.

To be honest though nothing Big Government does has much effect IMO unless you hear about it elsewhere through some ostensibly centrist source

As indicated, Breitbart is an effort to get this crazy shit out on to the MSM, and it’s worked for the most part. What happened in the 90’s demonstrated that the MSM were, as Gene Lyons illustrated so well, fools for scandal. Whitewater was a case of the country bumpkins taking the city slickers for a ride. They’ve still got their thumbs out, having learned nothing from what happened to them then.

These TV ads . . . far be it from me to critique Luntz, who is pretty wonderful at his Freudian craft, but “job creators” will never roll off anyone’s tongue, not even an amphibian from Wall Street
The absolute clunkiness of the statement forces people to wonder, “what the hell is that supposed to mean”, and when it turns out it means “rich people”, everyone sighs, because they know that game
The idea is to (re)make Rich Man in general, Romney in specific, into Daddy, but it just cannot fly with phrases that sound like Martian instead of self-help speak
I think they were going for the sort of “kingdom promise” compound noun business that pervades right-wing Protestantism but it’s just . . . too much

Dumb question, but how hard would it be for George Tierney, Jr. to buy a gun in Greenville, South Carolina.

If the world works well, a bunch of unemployed people with the same brainpower as, and more reading than, Ivy business grads will do some major damage to American capitalism
And yes, I am saying: that is a low, low, low bar
AA+ Bonds
“Job creators” is no “death tax”, it’s like the Texas Chainsaw remake version of “death tax”: an exercise in preemptive defense against criticism, instead of a straight punch to the gut
Time was, Luntz could just use the code “successful” for the rich, because Americans would hear that and think, oh, he means me, I’m about to become rich and I’m already ‘successful’
Remove that and Luntz/Romney can’t even make it to calling Obama a Red . . . motherfucking material conditions ! ! ! !

Glossy News is yet another victim of George Tierney Jr. of Greenville S.C.
Will his tyranny ever end?!

Don’t know if I heard this right but…
(From my ears) David Muir is explaining Obama’s popularity with married woman is dropping because “he said Anne Romney never worked a day in her life.”
What to do in the face of such media malfeasance? I for one welcome my venture capitalist Mormon overlords.

Ann Romney is their best bet, psychoanalytically speaking, i.e., don’t you dare threaten my mommy, who as I remember was absolutely and completely dedicated to me me me and that is the most important thing in the world

@AA+ Bonds:
Close, but not quite. The idea is to make the Rich Men adjunct gods. In this formulation, God is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, the Giver of Life, and the persecutor of Satan; the Rich Men are the Job Creators, the Givers of Money, and the persecutors of Gay Liberal SociaIist Islamofascist Commies.

@Abe Hammer: A few months after George Tierney, Jr. of Greenville South Carolina posted a question to yahoo answers’ dating forum he has a restraining order taken out on him.
Spooky! Good catch.

Strongbad, I’m outside your house…
George Tierney Jr’s place of residence? Home? Anybody know where to search plat records to see who owns this property?
Another Halocene Human
Oh, FFS, I was looking for property taxes but all I’m getting are George Tierney Jr and Sr’s car tax receipts.
Dad drives a FORD, junior drives a Japanwagon!
Another Halocene Human
Okay, clicked the wrong thing on the website. Only GeoTie23’s parents own their home. He has not paid property taxes. So that nice-lookin’ home is not his. It belongs to someone else.
Too lazy to see if I can search plats online. Maybe someone else will identify his landlord.

@Southern Beale: That’s a feature, not a bug. It’s designed that way.

What kind of idiot trolls and makes enemies using his real name, when enemies with an internet connection can easily find out everything about you on public records?
If usenet taught me anything, it was if you’re going to be a dick, at least know more about hiding your real identity on the intertoobs than the people you’re pissing off.

@Xecky Gilchrist: does indeed take the day. We’re not worthy.
If forcing Republican leadership to acknowledge George Tierney, Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina is wrong, then I don’t want to be right.

@JGabriel:
I think it has another purpose. It IS a clunky phrase, and it makes discussions of the topic boring and easy to tune out. The GOP really, really does not want the general voting public thinking too hard about their ‘job creators’ right now. Obama has finally killed Reagan’s ‘all raised taxes are raising YOUR taxes’ meme and people are really getting pissed at the wealthy not paying their fair share. So the plotters and planners want the entire subject to become too burdensome for the masses to listen to.
That’s my theory, at least.

@MonkeyBoy: I agree. Not concern trolling here, but after reading that interview, he sounds uncomfortably like the homophobic woman in Oregon we all were pointing and laughing at until we discovered she wasn’t just acting crazy, she really was schizophrenic. It’s sad that the conservative mind is becoming less and less distinguishable from the pathologically insane mind, but George Tierny, Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina sounds crazy enough to be, you know, actually crazy.

So I’d like to ask George Tierney, Jr. of Greenville, South Carolina, “dude, when are you going to close your Goddamn salad tosser?
I get why you used salad tosser, and I get that this was totally no harm intended on your part, but using that term to insult him is homophobic.

This is one of the funniest concepts ever, but when put up against many of the items in the bible, it doesn’t seem so farfetched that it could be the next big religion. You need to copyright the phrase before some smart huckster out there founds it and make a billion.

@Anya:
Don’t be.
If you ever meet the goobers that make up the republican base you will discover a number of them are not too different from George Tierney Jr. of Greenville SC. ‘Developmentally delayed and mentally ill’ is an apt description of far too many of them.
The delusions of the gop base are numerous: birtherism, teabaggery, fiat currency/gold buggery, OWS = dirty hippies, feminazis, black helicopters/New World Order/International Jew Banker, the Amero and the NAFTA highway to Mexico, secret FEMA concentration camps, supply side economics, ‘tax cuts pay for themselves’, the rich = Job Creators, ‘blacks/the poors/messicans caused the mortgage meltdown’, and on and on. They either believe it cold, or they can’t make themselves to disbelieve it, no matter what evidence or logic you might present.
Tell me, how can a person believe in so much nonsense so totally and completely as so many of them do, and not be manifesting some degree of delayed development or mental illness?
IOW, there really isn’t a whole lot of daylight between the GOP Base and the mentally ill.
Bug-fuck crazy or not, that asshole George Tierney Jr. votes and he hates women, especially intelligent and outspoken ones who stand up to his misogyny.
Don’t feel sorry for mocking him. His vote counts the same as yours, and he votes republican for a reason, and would love to put women in a place no human being ever ought to be if he ever had the power to do so.
GlossyNews Brian
@johnny orogeny: He doesn’t vote republican. Didn’t you read the interview?
“GlossyNews – What are you?
George Tierney – I voted for Bill Clinton in 92 and 96. I voted for Al Gore in 2000. I wrote my name in in 2004 and 2008. Not to be obnoxious or a jackass but the fact is is I wrote my name in because I thought the two guys running for president were a joke. I think that the 2000 election was rigged, Al Gore won the election, but Jeb Bush was the governor of Florida, we had three recounts and all the sudden George Bush is president, then all the sudden we’ve got wars.”
