Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

We’ve had enough carrots to last a lifetime. break out the sticks.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

Relentless negativity is not a sign that you are more realistic.

Innocent people do not delay justice.

Black Jesus loves a paper trail.

Impressively dumb. Congratulations.

Radicalized white males who support Trump are pitching a tent in the abyss.

Republicans do not trust women.

Anne Laurie is a fucking hero in so many ways. ~ Betty Cracker

No one could have predicted…

Republicans are radicals, not conservatives.

Make the republican party small enough to drown in a bathtub.

It’s possible to be a liberal firebrand without crapping on the party.

Usually wrong but never in doubt

Those who are easily outraged are easily manipulated.

I might just take the rest of the day off and do even more nothing than usual.

They fucked up the fucking up of the fuckup!

… gradually, and then suddenly.

In after Baud. Damn.

There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Within six months Twitter will be fully self-driving.

Dear legacy media: you are not here to influence outcomes and policies you find desirable.

The gop is a fucking disgrace.

Is trump is trying to break black America over his knee? signs point to ‘yes’.

A few of requested we raise money for every single Democrat running for Senate in a seat currently held by Republicans. Here’s a cool one to get behind in Tennessee:

Marquita Bradshaw, an environmental justice advocate who has run her Senate campaign on a shoestring budget, won an upset victory in the state’s Democratic primary on Thursday, brushing aside a party-backed candidate who had significantly out-raised her.

Let’s some money for her:

    It’s an open seat. Her opponent is all in on 45. I say we go for it.

    More to the point, getting ready for Endeavour tonight? I binge-watched the last couple of seasons to get caught up and am rested and ready.

    Are there points for guessing the band for that lyric title?

    Contributed. Don’t know if she has a prayer but I’m all in on getting Republicans to defend every seat.

    @piratedan:

    It’s a good series. Great to binge-watch, because they do that maddening Brit thing where a “season” is four or six episodes and then they have to take a year off to rest up.

    @zhena gogolia:

    I thought it was great, although a tiny bit too neat around the edges. But they’re in good shape to head into the new season.

    Must note that I was sorry to see the departure of WPC Trewlove. She was a great character.

    I saw about her on Twitter after the primary and immediately began donating. She’ll probably get a shout out from Taylor Swift – it didn’t work with the old white guy last time, but hope springs eternal.

    @Steeplejack: Ahem. Six episodes minimum, thank you. Sometimes we even manage eight.  Although we have to have a nice lie-down halfway through.

    @Morticum: Google told me the answer (only vaguely aware of that band/music), but I thought it might have come from this now classic indie rocker song, which I’ve never read the lyrics of until now:
    I know the nervous walking
    I know the dirty beard hangs
    Out by the box car waiting
    Take me away to nowhere plains

    There is a wait so long
    You’ll never wait so long

    Here comes your man
    Here comes your man
    Here comes your man

    @mad citizen:
    I knew it was Arrested Development right away. The line about climbing the trees their forefathers hung from and asking those trees for all their wisdom hit me the first time I heard it. I never quite saw it as a simple pop/rap song after that.
