Read this Talk Left piece and tell me if my Colin Powell theory still sounds silly.
And yes, I am just joking around.

Alright, I missed this too- did Karl Rove really say that not only did he first hear about Plame from another reporter, but he doesn’t remember what reporter?
That is, shall we say, a touch hard to believe.
And for the sheer entertainment value, C&L has this must see news coverage on the Rove affair:
Lou says, “…Rove testifying that he first learned about Plame from columnist Robert Novak, a CNN contributor. Danna Bash reports.” Immediately after that you can clearly hear a female voice on mic whispering “that’s bullshit”. Then Dana Bash continues with her report.
Hehe.

Remember that video yesterday of the soldier who was shot in the chest, with the bullet knocking him to the ground after being deflted off of his body armor? The story is even better than just that (video here):
During a routine patrol in Baghdad June 2, Army Pfc. Stephen Tschiderer, a medic, was shot in the chest by an enemy sniper, hiding in a van just 75 yards away. The incident was filmed by the insurgents.

Gonna be a rough spell in the big house for this one, I think:
Saying his words steered young men into terrorist training camps that are the lifeblood of a movement that plants bombs on subways and trains, Judge Leonie M. Brinkema sentenced an American Islamic scholar to life in prison Wednesday.
Ali al-Timimi, 42, of Fairfax, Va., who had ties to a now-defunct Pittsburgh-based magazine that advocated holy war, was convicted in a lengthy jury trial in federal court here last spring of recruiting a group of northern Virginia men to travel to Pakistan and train to take up arms for the Taliban. The men, who played paintball and went to shooting ranges to train for holy war, were dubbed the Virginia Paintball Jihad.
Before the trial, nine of al-Timimi’s followers were convicted or pleaded guilty in the conspiracy prosecutors said grew in the shadow of the nation’s capital in the days before 9/11 and blossomed on al-Timimi’s advice in the week after the terrorist attacks.
Al-Timimi’s conviction for soliciting treason and other charges marked the first post-9/11 trial in which the government won a terrorism verdict for actions tied to words designed to aid the enemy, rather than actual deeds such as providing money, equipment or engaging in combat.
Am I the only one who missed this?

Thank goodness for MoveOn.Org, because without them, companies that make indelible markers and poster-board might go out of business.
Does anyone know anyone who is in MoveOn? Could you ask them if there is anything, any left-wing issue or topic, for which they WON’T whip together a protest?
And just for the record, I hate all rallies and protests, whatever the reason.
*** Update ***
Here is a protest slogan they won’t be using any time soon:
