Balloon Juice

Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

Technically true, but collectively nonsense

Nothing worth doing is easy.

Eh, that’s media spin. biden’s health is fine and he’s doing a good job.

Not all heroes wear capes.

I see no possible difficulties whatsoever with this fool-proof plan.

Damn right I heard that as a threat.

Since when do we limit our critiques to things we could do better ourselves?

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

I’d like to think you all would remain faithful to me if i ever tried to have some of you killed.

I’d try pessimism, but it probably wouldn’t work.

Peak wingnut was a lie.

I know this must be bad for Joe Biden, I just don’t know how.

“But what about the lurkers?”

Too often we hand the biggest microphones to the cynics and the critics who delight in declaring failure.

When do we start airlifting the women and children out of Texas?

Sitting here in limbo waiting for the dice to roll

Battle won, war still ongoing.

Republicans don’t want a speaker to lead them; they want a hostage.

Let’s not be the monsters we hate.

You cannot shame the shameless.

And we’re all out of bubblegum.

Being the leader of the world means to be the leader of peace.

Meanwhile over at truth Social, the former president is busy confessing to crimes.

Is it negotiation when the other party actually wants to shoot the hostage?

@redshirt: Hey, LeBron was called for traveling twice this game. The announcers were quite surprised. Of course a couple of plays later he clearly took three and a half steps, shown twice on replay, and nothing.

    This game is rigged.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is stealing the game from LeBron.

I’d bet I could beat most everyone here at free throw shooting. Among many other basketball related things.

Man, this game wasn’t even close to exciting. Le sigh.

I love Steph Curry, but the way he chews his mouth guard grosses me out.

LeBron James should consider playing in the Big Boy Conference next time his contract comes up. An entire career in the Whoever Has James Goes to the Finals Conference makes it tough to judge his accomplishments.

that OKC series was amazing. Another one of those moments where the entire pro game changes because the talent and the coaching makes all the old ways of operating obsolete.

And then we go back to this. Cleveland might be the fifth best team in the league. Maybe.

Pro Football talks, and real sports walk at this blog, except for futball. And, if the Pens are in something big, sometimes hockey.

This place calls itself a full service blog.

Maybe we could get dachshund race coverage?

@efgoldman: Well. everyone else was demanding the sports they want. This is a privately owned blog and it features what the owner and the people to whom he gave the key want to feature. Anyone who doesn’t get that is confused.

    June 6, 2016 at 1:02 am

@Omnes Omnibus: Of course they are real sports. But when have rugby, skiing, and fencing been covered by this blog? Maybe you misunderstood my comment.

Assuming Cole bothers to read this comment thread, I guess he will get pissed off at the commenters who are griping and put up an NBA post with a embed that starts just before the final buzzer sounds. Which would be kind of funny, and I have great ideas for snotty responses to that. So, I look forward to that kind of BS for the third game (if it is needed ha ha har har!)

@Omnes Omnibus: Cole put up a thread on NBA finals in the fourth quarter, and there entirety of the post consists of ‘There’, dripping with contempt. An obvious provocation, for which Cole deserves A Punch in the Neck. Any commenter who is a basketball fan who does not protest will have shown weakness and will be crushed. Crushed! I tell you.

And you didn’t even bother to mention dachshund racing, so the hell with you, you dachshund hater.

As a Cleveland native and yoooge LeBron James fan, I was kinda hoping Cole would let the whole night slide by unnoticed.
