If it’s a pizza photo, it has to be JeffreyW’s.
Fall is not quite here, so the menus still include grilling favorites. Monday is Fruit Juice Marinated Chicken on the grill. Tuesday is Pasta Rustica and Garlic Cheesy Bread.

I thought we agreed you were going to include the how to video:
Damn that JefferyW! I just had the best Coho salmon and now he’s got me craving beef. We just came back from out West where we saw the eclipse in Nebraska, and the beef there made near-vegan Mrs. Spanky eat beef damn near every day.
Still plugging away with the FODMAPs elimination thing. The philosophy of the dietician I’m working (remotely) with seems to be to provide way more recipes than anyone could use in a week so there’s something for everyone. My main issue is that most of the dinner recipes make a minimum of 4 servings, so the leftovers pile up quickly even when G and I both eat them for lunch. Tonight I can choose between leftover mustard-tarragon chicken legs or leftover beef stew. I’ll probably cook something new tomorrow night since we’ll be closer to caught up.
@Adam L Silverman: I was just about to drop you an email and say, hey, put that in the comments. Thanks for reading my mind.
In case you missed it this afternoon, J R in WV Posted a recipe for Peach Kuchen
I do most of the cooking but my bride likes to make a blueberry slaw to go on turkey hot dogs. It’s good!

@Raven: Aren’t you normally not capitalized?
And in case anyone missed it, there was a Duck update today.
I have to run off and get ready for an early day tomorrow. I have to work, but not complaining because I’m taking an actual vacation mid-September (Boston here I come).
@Raven: Well you can’t post something that delicious sounding and not add a recipe. It IS a recipe thread after all.
I just spent two days in a swampy apartment waiting for a plumber to snake out the grease in my apartment stack. It’s my neighbor’s grease, but it backed up into my side and I couldn’t use the sink for anything and water was dripping all over my basement. I had to remind my neighbor several times to stop using his disposal because it was backing into mine. Fucking old buildings.
I may go raw vegan after this. Though that beef looks very yummy.
Head across I80 to North Platte, NE. Just off the US83 exit is The Canteen. Order some steak.

Her first post, I told her if I drop dead she’ll need to let y’all know!
It took her 10 minutes to type that with one finger while I held the flashlight. I’ll be expecting some feedback!
@Raven: No worries. We would send the internet sleuths out to see where you disappeared.
@JPL: There is a guy I knew from FDL who died 6 or so years ago. He was alone so his FB is still up. I always say happy birthday to him and one other person does too. The Southern Dragon from Tampa.
Should we (spelled “Anne Laurie”) organize a meetup?
Oh, yes. Sorry, no recipes, just a report of plenty of roadside veggie stands – plenty of squash, tomatoes, cucumbers, and basil available!
Everything looks delicious ???
@Raven: That looks awesome.
@efgoldman: It’s a thought. My time is always complicated because so many friends and family to see.
@Raven: ok, so very late, but I can’t wait to try that! Thank the princess for me.
@Raven: southern Dragon, though gone and ever missed, would like to remind us to Never Give Up!
