Come for the politics, stay for the snark.

If you don’t believe freedom is for everybody, then the thing you love isn’t freedom, it is privilege.

Republicans do not pay their debts.

We are aware of all internet traditions.

Only Democrats have agency, apparently.

“In the future, this lab will be a museum. do not touch it.”

Compromise? There is no middle ground between a firefighter and an arsonist.

That’s my take and I am available for criticism at this time.

It is not hopeless, and we are not helpless.

Beware of advice from anyone for whom Democrats are “they” and not “we.”

Late Night Open Thread: The “Alt Right” Have Found This Cycle’s Not-Democrat Stalking Horse

“It’s hard to explain but she has a good energy, a certain dignity to her," @Cernovich says. "Possibly both," @AnnCoulter says when asked if she would vote for her in the primary or even the general https://t.co/YaOZdR8Txw

All the edgelords jump on the Nazi bandwagon!

There were a mountain of these posts last night, imploring users to brigade online polls Tulsi. This one said to "FLOOD THE POLLS FOR MOMMY."

It was not just the Drudge poll, which is the one that got the most attention.https://t.co/njSCDy0Zp9 pic.twitter.com/tB8JQEhjXL

Drudge Report readers also like Tulsi Gabbard. She won their post-debate poll tonight — and then talked to Breitbart about it. #DemDebate pic.twitter.com/YZrIQzcBG5

OFC she's going on Little Lord Fashleroy's White Power Hour. https://t.co/2ZS2rUzUC9

— Zeddy (@Zeddary) June 28, 2019

Footnote:

One day later, the same Drudge poll that was brigaded to boost Gabbard is now being brigaded by 4chan's other preferred candidate, Andrew Yang.

He has a commanding lead on Drudge's gameable poll, despite going relatively headline-free in the debate.https://t.co/mtyTOmLlTw

(Sure, ‘free money’ sounds good, but Yang’s just not as… y’know… personable. They would totally endorse a Tulsi waifu pillow, either surfer girl or authoritarian-in-heels edition. Their Coulter pillows are getting unpleasantly crusty.)

Tulsi and Wilmer are the Kremlin’s two candidates in the Dem race.

Yang didn’t do a great job articulating why a universal basic income is a good policy idea. It really was a missed opportunity to introduce the policy to a wider audience, and it may be the only chance he or anyone will get to do so.

He could have said something like: “If you start a business, as I did, you know how the first few years are tough and you don’t know whether you’ll make it through. $1000/month gives you the freedom to choose to build that business, pursue your passion, and we don’t get anywhere without people taking a chance on themselves. If you care for a loved one you know how sometimes the bills pile up and you don’t know how you’re going to make it to the next paycheck — $1000/month gives you the freedom to care for them and not worry about going broke. If you feel stuck in a dead end job, and want to learn something new, $1000/month gives you the freedom to pursue your dreams and cover basic expenses so you don’t feel like you’re stuck forever. This is what the freedom dividend gives you — a freedom to choose what you want to do in your life, not what your boss, your elected officials want you to do — and a freedom to prioritize the people you care about over squeezing out a few extra bucks in a second job.”

Tulsi is absolutely the Kremlin candidate. My sis is a leftier-than-thou type who insists that the idea that Russia had anything to do with our election is a total myth and the New McCarthyism. Yeah, she follows Greenwald, who isn’t even a liberal, much less a progressive. So she thinks Tulsi is great!

I haven’t yet figured out what’s driving her. She used to worship Thom Hartman, but I understand he buys into the Russia attack. She was a fervent Berner, but I think Bernie too has admitted that he knew the Russians were helping him.

It may have to do with her fervent approval of any attack on the establishment. So she loves Assange (another right-wing libertarian) and worships Edward Snowden (yet another right-wing libertarian and a gun nut too). Admires Chelsea Manning. Does not seem to have heard of Reality Winner.

It’s really weird. Hates “corporatism” but apparently has no trouble with Russian oligarchs. Looks confused if you mention the Maidan movement in Ukraine (of course, Russia has done nothing wrong there). She likes RT television because they used to host Hartmann, so I’m guessing she’s just a victim of propaganda.

I have yet to find a way to get through to her.

    The alt-right puppeteer.

Vladimir Putin has said liberalism is “obsolete” in an interview before he left for the G20 summit.

The Russian president said the ideology that has underpinned Western democracies for decades had “outlived its purpose”.

The Russian premier also praised the rise of populism in Europe and America, saying ideas like multiculturalism were “no longer tenable”.

His comments came in a wide-ranging interview with the Financial Times.

The piece was published as world leaders began talks on trade and security in Japan.

“[Liberals] cannot simply dictate anything to anyone,” said Mr Putin, who has served as president for nearly two decades.

He added that liberalism conflicted with “the interests of the overwhelming majority of the population,” and took aim at German Chancellor Angela Merkel for allowing large numbers of refugees to settle in Germany.

Can the racist tunes be any louder?

So, I normally don’t really post my work, but I thought this performance came out very well. I did voice thing for Night Light Podcast, a black horror anthology series. For once, I’m not playing a Jedi who dies! And, no cussing so I could share it with my mom. If you’d like a little break from the election bs and our national tangerine nightmare, this is at least as good as a shot of whiskey but with way less calories. Listen here!

appears to be a new attack on Senator Harris. She’s just claiming to be black, is not African AMerican, her Mother is from Tamal India and her father is from Jamaca, so no way she’s African American. No slavery in her family,. WTF??

Mostly white women ranting, showing their ignorance of Jamaican History, her father’s family is descended from British slaves making molasses and run, cutting sugar cane, which was a killing job back in the day. In today’s America, both the woman from Tamal and the man from Jamaica are black, discriminated against just like Mr and Mrs Obama were and are every day of their lives.

Nut jobs, seeking to tear down someone (Harris, of course, the best Black candidate) to hake it easier to build up someone, Tulsi? Cutest white girl…

Elections are the worst, except for all the other ways….

@J R in WV: The instigator against Kamala that I saw on twitter identified as an ‘American Black’ man. He was quickly retweeted by accounts that others accused of being bots.

Yesterday he also said things like “Not one reporter is going to point out that the child migrant triage policy was also under Obama. … The reporters are all Democrats.” “Milo gets Black people and is educated on the issue.” “Children are more safe with American agents than Mexican cartels.”

(About SC decision on census) “I don’t say this lightly, however the Trump administration should ignore the Court’s opinion. They don’t get a say in determining the bureaucracy of the Executive branch. This is a check against the Court. The Executive Branch doesn’t owe the Court a sincere answer.”

“Biden, Harris, and Buttigieg all underperforming during this debate. Yang is completely silent.
Came to play: Sanders, Gillibrand, Bennet.” Attacked de Blasio and his wife for being “from the communist party.” And on and on.

Some of those comments are, I don’t know, depressing, maybe? That the morons, traitors, and fascists like that — i.e., the ones whose comments you pasted — are not in any danger of being deported to Dumbfuckistan (wherever that ends up being), is distressing.

Of course, the direction the Traitor-in-Chief’s minions are attempting to “lead” this country might end up turning the entire US into Dumbfuckistan. So I guess then I would be one of the sane [sic] pariahs.

Why is Yang obsessed with circumcision, of all things?

That’s a great set-up line, and were I closer (temporally speaking) to my frat-rat days, the responses would be myriad. But as I now try to maintain an air of respectability, I will not fall prey to those long-dormant practices.

OK, I’m kidding about the “maintaining respectability” part — that would be like Bernie “maintaining his quiet competence” — but everything else is accurate.

This maybe worries me more than anything that happened over the past couple of nights. I mean, Marianne Williamson got up there last night and looked like the joke she is. But Tulsi Gabbard didn’t look like a joke. She wasn’t the star of the evening, but she looked like a real candidate. She’s not what she seems to be and she’s apparently really good at putting up the front.
