Emergency plea from commentor Tulip:
From Starry in the R barn at Hossmoor. As many know, in November, 3 tiny kittens were found with their mom living by the covered arena at Hossmoor. Boarders caught two of the kittens who were distressed and hungry.
We contacted “Community Concern for Cats” (a non profit) for help. We were able to catch the mom and third (orange) kitten. CC4C has been great and handled spay, neuter and shots for all 3 (normally $400- $600 per cat at a vets office). They are all tested for FIV/LEUK and are negative. Perfect Kitties!
The person fostering can no longer keep them. The grey and white female and the orange male kitten need permanent homes very soon. They are healthy beautiful little kitties and ready to go. They have been living /w other cats and do great with other cats.
The tri colored female kitty has a hind leg injury (tho she is not aware of her handicap and is actually the boss of the three kittens). This kitty however needs surgery that CC4C vets will handle in the near future. She is also available.
Please get the word out about these wonderful kittens. They can’t stay with the foster any longer and need homes soon.
If you’re interested, know someone who might be interested, or have suggestions for another foster, leave a comment below. Or contact me directly ([email protected]) and I’ll pass your message on to Tulip.

Any pictures available? I can’t take one myself, but photos seem to help.

Arg. I would, but my wife is allergic and we’re not getting any more animals until our daughters are old enough to help take care of them :(

In for transport. (But they won’t go anywhere without pictures.)

Huh, one of my friends was just saying last night that she’s almost ready for a new kitty (or two!) after her lovely old kittyboy died a couple of months ago. I’ll contact her. How old are they?

Just to note that San Francisco is a guaranteed adoption city, so shelters are a reasonable option there. Gov. Newsom has indicated he would support making CA a guaranteed adoption state, so hopefully that will happen.
Not first choice, obviously, but not a terrible choice either.

Is there a link? I will send it out to my fans on social media.

@Tulip:
Link worked fine. Maybe add some information about who’s who in the pictures?
WaterGirl
@Tulip: The kitty that looks like a half-and-half is amazing. I didn’t know that could ever happen.
Hilfy
@WaterGirl: “Looks like a half and half…” Do you mean the left side kitten, who is black and white and orange? She ‘s a Calico, said to be great mousers and good mothers.
Tho this one’s color pattern is not as defined as one would like. A “perfect Calico” should have each ear a different color, all three colors on her tail and look as if her lower half had been dipped in milk. So I was told when I first got a Calico.
Yutsano
Dat orange boi tho…
WaterGirl
@Hilfy: I had no idea that’s what calico cats were.
WereBear
@WaterGirl: I never thought I’d be a Professional Cat Whisperer, but apparently my destiny cannot be denied!
@Tulip: No worries, this was perfect! I’ll retweet in the morning to catch the flip side. I also gave the county in California, so people can tag friends in the area.

@WereBear: When do you get to quit your day job? :-)

Of course, I love the calico. Now, if there was a tortie also, I’d be hard-pressed to choose.

@Tulip:
Too cute for words ??
WereBear
@WaterGirl: I’m working on it. There’s not a clear career path, here.
WaterGirl
@WereBear: No kidding! You should be proud of where you’ve gotten already. That’s all you.
