    Little known fact, but Baldur’s Gate players have undergone evolutionary advances over the years that allows them to survive for up to two weeks solely consuming Cheetos and Red Bull. (Earlier evolutionary offshoots were only able to consume Mountain Dew whose lower caffeine content doomed this evolutionary line to extinction.)

    BG3 certainly is a pretty game, although currently a memory leak caused frame drops on the streamer that I was watching.

    I did not realize that there would be so MANY choices, many of them morally grey at best.  Neither Persona 5 Royal nor Final Fantasy 16 did anything like this.

    The bard options are a great mix of juvenile, clever, and fabulous. They’re even better when talking to another bard.

    @Edmund dantes: Was there anything new? He was out insulting and intimidating Pence earlier, and he called Smith “mentally ill” an hour or two ago IIRC. But he pretend backed off yesterday’s threat with a laughable excuse.

    I’m doing OK. Several more chemo days scheduled,  2 sessions a week apart,  then 2 weeks to the next day of drippage. It takes about 7 hours to get the whole process done.

    The first several hours are drugs to protect from the actual chemo drugs which are quite toxic. They do blood work at 7am to adjust the doseages. Cisplatin and gemcitabine are the actual chemo drugs,  but there’s a couple dozen IV infusions around the two actual  doses. .

    I have had some serious side effects in the past  but more recently things have pretty smooth.

    My family’s doctor is our age, well known to be an expert curmudgeon to people who aren’t moving to treat his patient. He’s been a rock since this started last December, has been our family doctor for 40 years. Board certified Gerontology as well as the the Family Practice cert. Has told me to call him 24/7, he’s there for me.  So far always during regular business hours,  will visit him in person soon to review a recent CTscan I had, and review all my maintenance meds etc.

    @Avalune: Paladins are a great class – lots of fight, utility and they get a lot of unique dialogue options.

    I broke my oath several times, restarted several times, and I’m almost through Act 1 without oathbreaking.  Worried that I chose the wrong NPC to romance, though.  Gale is a bit of a drip.

    my understanding is they had planned to release both versions next month, when the PS5 version is ready, but didn’t want to compete with Starfield. A good decision. My fave game series, Horizon, dropped the original and sequel in competition with Zelda and Elden Ring and I think suffered for it a bit. Though it’s awesome!
