Iceberg lettuce? I understand it has been shown to be a valuable political force in the U.K. Perhaps Tony Jay can give us more details. In contrast to Belgian endive as so brilliantly demonstrated by Dan Quayle.

It’s obviously a deep-state Illuminati Greys-from-Zeta-Reticuli conspiracy that a man who blatantly both ignores the advice of his attorneys and stiffs them on the bills has trouble finding competent ones to represent him.

TFG wasn’t interested in testifying or defending himself when he was being accused of rape and he lost. Once it came to the monetary damages though, OH HELL NO! At that point he wanted to eliminate or minimize the damage to his bank account by attempting to retry the case in the damages phase. This leads to him crying alligator tears when the judge smacked his ass down and the jury hands his ass to him.
In the end TFG chose not to defend himself against the charges until it was clear that it was going to cost him $$$ because $$$ is all he cares about.

My granddaughters, 10 1/2 and 12 1/2 only know we as a family are Seahawks fanatics and have adequate clothing for Spirit Day at school. Otherwise they’ve no interest in football, other than it deprives them of TV time.
My daughter ordered me a Taylor Swift/Kelse teeshirt for the Super Bowl and it arrived today. The granddaughters saw it and hollered I want one! I quizzed them by asking who is Taylor’s boyfriend? They both answered immediately TRAVIS KELSE! Who does he play for? KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!!
I ordered them the same teeshirts in appropriate sizes. 🥰

So McMegan has decided to die on a hill of…iceberg lettuce? Um, ok. I have occasionally craved an old-fashioned wedge salad, but I don’t fool myself into thinking for a second that the lettuce is doing anything other than being a convenient conveyance device for blue cheese dressing and bacon lardons. Other than that, I cannot think of a single reason to eat iceberg lettuce, particularly when the agricultural technology McMegan so praises has made a thousand other kinds of more flavorful and nutritious salad greens available year-round.

@Carlo Graziani: Speaking of Trump evading income tax, he’s already staring down some trouble over a suspicious loan he claims to have gotten related to his Chicago condo tower. Turns out if a bank forgives a big loan for you, that becomes income you have to declare to the IRS. And you can’t just pretend that the amount of the forgiven loan was something your LLC “purchased” from the bank and put it on your own books as a “loan” to another one of your LLCs.
Who knew?

All the “media” I consumed on Alina Habba’s performance was on MSNBC and a couple lawyers listserves I follow. So I don’t know what they’re saying in the Fox-o-verse. My guess is that Trump expected her to be as combative and confrontational as she was but didn’t count on the diversion that arose from her basic trial procedural incompetence. So he looked like he was again unable to engage a competent attorney. She was awful.

Since then he’s been throwing dumbass hail maries thinking he can cancel the effect of the first trial, while simultaneously throwing screaming tantrums.
